Good thing the US is not a government based on the tenets of man, but principled on "endowed by their Creator, with certain unalienable Rights" in the Declaration of Independence. Though Creator is agnostic as to whose actual god it referees to, you cannot exclude the fact that our founding principles line up with general Christian beliefs and that Christianity has been a fundamental part of our history, for better and potentially for worse.
