I hired a UX/UI designer who had her pronouns on linkedin. The boss and I discussed it before she started. He said, "We will call her whatever we want to. If she doesn't come out and explicitly say what she wants to be called, then we aren't worrying about it." She came into the office, read the room, and it's been a non issue. She's been great assett.
Here's hoping you didn't miss out on an opportunity to hire someone truly great.
We aren't afraid of a word. We are afraid of hiring incompetent cancerous people into our close workforce.
That has a higher chance of happening when you hire people with pronouns in their resumes/cover letters.
I am so sorry this upsets you but understand that your opinion means nothing to me.
Have a great day.
I have worked in the private sector for 30 years and now I am in govt the gateway to pronoun people.
Pronoun people are soft, get offended at every opportunity, have low stress thresholds, take everything too personal, use stress as a reason to stay home, They have no ability to take constructive criticism, typically will not own their mistakes, have zero awareness of taking time off affects work. The one thing that personally just makes my head explode is they will typically share emails from others to complain to others in their clicks, they will turn on workmates and bully them all in the while participate in every anti bullying program our agency has to offer.
The absolute worst thing……is it is simply not needed. It is the first flag in a series of red flags that these individuals are trained little passive-aggressive monkeys that will end up being more of a pain in the arse then they are worth.
I would not hire one……just give me someone whose head is screwed on straight, will not fold under pressure, who doesn't feel entitled and respect the process and authority.
