This is evidently the CarFax report showing him getting title updated on 11/18 with new Washington plates. Someone mentioned is bday was 11/21, so perhaps getting everything updated prior to bday?

or he was registering it then as in state so that he could get in-state tuition rates the next year.
Nope.

It doesn't look like he's had his car detailed recently. Maybe will be able to find some blood evidence in the car

A 30 hour trip non-stop wouldn't be awful if you had a partner to share the drive. I've made the drives from College Station to Dan Diego (and back), Ft. Worth to Valdosta, Georgia (and back), and Ft. Worth to Salem, Virginia all nonstop. My brother made McGuire AFB, New Jersey to Ft. Worth in a moving truck nonstop.

Not necessarily. If he had Weathertech seat covers and liners and then ditched them later?

Exterior of the car would get dirty real quick up there with snow melt. Cars stay dirty up there in the winter.

Yeah when we lived up north we moved up in January. Only saw the old beater cars until after the chance of snow had passed. Then we discovered our neighborhood had Cadillacs and Mercedes that had been hidden in garages the whole winter.

Looks guikty as F.

I know this post is a joke, but it reminds of some of the absolute dumbest **** I've ever seen on the Reddit pages about these murders. A few weeks back somebody literally made a thread titled something like "should the Moscow police just arrest somebody?" and the topic was like "this case dragging on is having such a horrible effect on the community and creating so much panic and anxiety, I honestly think Moscow police should just make an arrest and get it over with even if it's not the right person. This needs to be put to bed." About half the responses were what you would expect, but the other half were like "that's a good point. I wouldn't do it now, but if it drags for like another 2 months it would really be worth considering."

Reddit is the absolute sewer of the Internet. I would rank it lower than 4chan in terms of the average intellect of the posters. They are just dumb as bricks.

Reddit is the king of Monday morning quarterbacks seeing mug shots and being like "omg look at his dead eyes. You can just tell he is pure evil!!! How did nobody know." I am 100% sure there are posters on there right now talking about how the prosecution should use that still shot from the body cam at his trial because he "looks so guilty."

Well that would be a criminal defense attorney's dream. Both for that particular detainee and the actual perp when arrested. Hard time explaining probable cause for arrest for both.

Question for the attorneys. Fox had an article just put out where it states that BK doesn't know what is in the arrest affidavits, and that was one of the reasons he waived extradition back to Idaho. He wants to learn what evidence they have against him.

Does he really not know? Have they not told him anything?

Not that it really matters, but I was a PhD student at Auburn and they waived OOS tuition for us. Can't remember if it was dependent on teaching a class, which also doesn't matter because they made us teach the first year (with some measly pay). The OOS waiver was for one year, and they wanted us to make it legit after that.

I don't believe they have, and that's why the public also hasn't seen them.

Idaho court just gag ordered the case. We wont be getting any answers to questions for a long time.

Not sure if this was to protect the case, the venue, or the families of the victims.

That was an interesting comment by the PA guy stating BK was enthusiastic to get back to ID so he could see the case against him.

This is something that I have always wondered in these big cases. This is a national story. Isn't the jury pool already tainted?

Wasn't that from his defense attorney in PA? If so, not surprising he'd say that to the cameras.

The out of state tuition waivers are for 1 year and generally tied to a graduate research/teaching assistantship, and they are renewed yearly with proof of continued employment as such (at Texas stae schools anyway).

Also to another point, some Indiana resident redditors remarked that Illinios is one giant speed trap regardless so it is not surprising they got pulled over, and theybdont issue a lot of tickets just screen drivers on BS r ew reasons.

Yes, it was from his PD…who I read admitted he never spoke explicitly about the crimes with his client. It's just noise. Fighting extradition would have been a poor, losing strategy.

Lawyers can weigh in, but my impression is that it would take something like jury access to evidence deemed inadmissible to consider them tainted, not just general knowledge and awareness of the case. This allows the vast majority of evidence that is to come to be shielded. Seems smart even if frustrating for us

Guy looks ready to play his game, me thinks he will get a cold dose of reality as justice is for smirky people like him. What I mean by that, he is not a POC, a trans, or a flaming gay therefore any evidence that may be questionable will not go in his favor.

Dead man walking imo.

It is a procedural thing. He hasn't actually been formally charged with anything related to the murders until he is back in Idaho. He was arrested in PA on a fugitive warrant meaning there was an outstanding warrant against him in Idaho. So the local DA in PA read the underlying warrant for his arrest for the murders including the affidavit of probable cause. Without divulging those facts, he can then tell the judge there was sufficient probable cause to support an arrest warrant for being a fugitive.

Curious if there is going to be evidence he was selecting a new target, already had and was planning his next crime, or was this a one time thing - revenge/spite/target was eliminated- and hope to disappear with a cold case.

So will the probable cause affidavit remain sealed even after he is returned and it is presented to him, or this is just in regard to statements?

I would imagine the court will release it, but the parties involved can't make any comment.

Just statements to the press or anyone else who may talk to the press. The affidavits in support of probble cause should be filed on the court docket after BK has his first court appearance. I say "should" but the judge can still order them to remain sealed.

What I really wanted to read is the specifics of the search warrant for the open source genetic DNA database.

In CODIS (Combined DNA Index System) there are about 20 or so markers used for identification that are very specific. But in separating out that many factors or markers from DNA mixtures I am not sure how many specific points for correlation can be confidently stated.

I can't say I disagree.

These trials have become entertainment in themselves with all the podcasts and live streaming. I'm not sure if that is a good thing. I get the entertainment value, but it cheapens the justice aspect of the entire process.

Bottom line, if my daughter was slaughtered like this, I wouldn't want a camera in my family's face everywhere I go asking questions about this and that. It's a horrific situation and participating in the entertainment aspect only encourages more intrusion into these people's lives.

I would rather read about this POS getting his due, and letting the family say their piece and finding justice own their terms.

Not many people have significant liquid assets and plenty of people keep up with the Joneses on credit. That said, he's 28 and a legal adult. I wouldn't think his parents' finances factor in. Also, if you're not fighting extradition, why pay big money for the PA lawyer? And the ID stuff has to be fairly simple right now, so take time to seek out and vet good attorneys.

I read that his parents filed for bankruptcy twice and always had money issues. I dont think hes some spoiled rich kid with well-off parents.
