Eh. I don't read too much into the father flying out to help drive him home.

My wife's mother flew down from New Hampshire to Houston at least once to help her drive up for Christmas while she was a PhD student. It's a long drive and if one parent isn't working, maybe he wanted the company or felt it was safer to have another driver. Some states require annual car inspections in order to register a vehicle (if the car is still registered in PA).

That's my assumption on his apartment but would need to be a Washington state court.

"Ample probable cause" for the issuance of the warrants according the PA local DA.

Details as to how they connected him to the crime. Cell phone? GPS? Blu-tooth? And of partcular importance using open source genealogy to identify him. That DNA mixture and how it was handled and identified and to what degree of certainty will be a big issue for the defense.

Only if they have specific security concerns and by specific I mean death threats. There were some Idaho state troopers present at the presser. They have been there for awhile prior to his arrest.

Not yet. He was appointed a public defender, Anne Taylor out of Coeur d' Alene's PD office. She's the Chief of that department BTW.

His PD in PA did not have access to the probable cause affidavit since his role in the case was limited to extradition only.

They said he was being surveilled on the trip, but the date on the bodycam is two weeks before he was arrested. He was obviously on their radar for some time. I wonder what changed that prompted them to act.

This is evidently the CarFax report showing him getting title updated on 11/18 with new Washington plates. Someone mentioned is bday was 11/21, so perhaps getting everything updated prior to bday?

At the presser they said due to the nature of the crimes (and they have seen the probable cause affidvits) it was a high risk arrest so needed to use the full tactical team to negate a fleeing, or a potential hostage situation or suicide.
