Yes and no. For a doctoral student to use reddit as a research device would have been anathema ten years ago, but now? The panel approving one's thesis could easily look past that. Academia is that poor these days.
Could have been innocent on his part, at first....He gave an email address in those posts. Could be someone responded via email and a conversation began?
The problem here is that he was only at WSU for less than a full semester. Started fall semester this year but goes off and murders four people about three months later? I think he was perhaps being coached? And an attempted copycat killer? Hence the question upon his arrest about if anyone else had been arrested?
Just spitballin' but that comment made me wonder.
