Is there another press conference scheduled soon? I believe the last one was the day before Thanksgiving.
Not that I have seen.

This is one site to keep checking for new info.

I'm not sure what advantage it would give cops to lie about the location of the individuals. It's not like the killer doesn't know.
In the event there is an accomplice or even more than one... interviews will always find inconsistencies, but if you tell the whole story, the interviews will consist of the story you told them.

I also think it's very possible if not likely that the killer is someone who knows this apartment and the victims, at least one of them, quite well. Someone like that does not need to know what the policy know.

Interview with Kaylee's father. He states multiple texts/calls went unresponsive from surviving two roommates to the victims, which triggered the 911 call as unconscious and to friends/brothers or victims. This could or could not have included findings of blood at some point and really doesn't change anything. In another article it was stated one of the victims alarms was going off without response. The reporter also states he was informed of his daughters death by family members on campus and not police. The reporting party to him, could have inferred her death, by the reaction/response of LEA , by direct observance of the crime scene, or a combination of both couple by lack of cell response.

Given that the 911 call had multiple people working to give input, I think its very safe to say that the scene either was chaotic from the beginning and or escalated quickly into chaos, as others entered the scene observing something horrific, and working towards ADDing information to the ongoing 911 call.

Its also not out of the realm that the term "unconscious" could have been describing both a murder victim and a horrified survivor who fainted; at various times throughout the call. Personally I think the 911 call is being withheld mostly out of respect for the victims because at some point during the 911 call, maybe not at the beginning, but it described a horrific scene. This would also not scare locals anymore than they already are.

If its true and one person was targeted like this, most certainly means killer was known to this victim in some manner and to me will be more easily caught. What doesn't make sense is the killing of the other 2 or 3 unless the killer did not know well enough which bedroom and killed the wrong ones first.
Also possible... is that killer killed the target and he DID wake up at least one more person, which is why there were defensive wounds on some. I can think of several scenarios where this could have played out. Perhaps he killed in the top floor first, and on the way down noticed or heard something in the 2nd floor, and killed them to be sure there were no witness. Perhaps he planned to kill all of them but freaked out and decided just to get the hell out.

I watched a News clip that featured two women that run an online True Crime Sleuth forum and they reminded me why I hate those forums. A bunch of people obsessing over cases where they have very little information available to go on digging up stuff on the internet like it is some Sherlock Holmes level action. They made a big deal about people on their forum searching through the Venmo activity of the victims, their roommates and the friends and acquaintances. The roomies frequently pay each other small amounts on Venmo for little purchases like coffee, lunches, etc. They made a big deal because the male victim sent someone a few bucks around 10:30 the night if the murders and one of his friends that has been mentioned in the press sent $6 to the Memorial Fund for the victims. The lady said that it is strange the small amount he sent to the fund and that it might be important. Also that guys sister sent someone money at 3:30 in the morning and she claims that is suspicious activity sending money at that time.

Apparently the two forum heads were never college kids and don't understand a broke ass college kid sending $6 might be sending every Penny he has at that moment and 3:30 in the morning doesn't mean crap for a college kid.

Those forums are a complete waste of time.

And this is why those frat dudes scrubbed social media, because if the people you mentioned think you are guilty they will try to ruin you. If you've ever watched the documentary "Dont **** with cats" on Netflix, you can see what happens to someone they decide is guilty.

I followed one for a while for Jason Landry. The missing texas state kid. That's the reason I stopped following. Just bizarre how much stuff they come up with over and over. And lots of bickering between the members. Females with nothing better to do.

I left when they were discussing how to get hold of his private prescription meds.

I hadn't followed that story, its interesting. Reminds me in a way of Tom Brown from Canadian, TX. Texas Monthly did a big spread on this about a year or so ago. Sorry, for slight derail, but somewhat relevant as some things do go unsolved.

Goiod articles on some of the reasons the investigation might seem to be moving slow.

If the house was a party/gathering spot, just doing rule-out DNA and fingerprints is a monster task. Add in the complication of students going home for Thanksgiving and possibly staying there and it gets even bigger. Oh year, and lab results don't happen anywhere near as fast as they do on TV. We're talking days, more likely weeks, especially given the likely quantity of samples needing to be looked at.

150 interviews is a lot of people to talk to, and takes time. Just getting the identifying and contact info from any one person probably takes 5 minutes, and anyone who might be asked more than just basic questions (i.e., a person who lives in a house down the block and didn't know the victims "Where were you on the night of?" "I was at my gf's place in Pullman all weekend.") will take longer.

And a nice reminder that former SF mayor, now Senator Dianne Feinstein has always been an idiot.

If the neighbor is innocent, I feel bad for him getting labeled "socially awkward" in national headlines.

On a personal note, don't know where he went to undergrad school but third year law students don't interract with undergrads absent a previous friendship. We're older and kind of snooty that way.

And it sounds like he was never at one of the parties so if he even knew the girls in the house other than to nod and say, "Hello," I'd be surprised.

I know one thing, I could never understand anyone having the capacity to do something like this.

This is personally what I find most troubling about these types of crimes. It is slightly comforting sometimes when you can chalk up a horrific act of violence to some schizophrenic having a psychotic episode. But when it's a high functioning, competent socio/psychopath like this, it is pretty damn scary.

Not sure if many of yall remember Thomas Johnson, a promising young freshman stud WR for A&M in 2012 (helped us beat Bama). People were were perplexed when they heard rumors of him just quitting football after his freshman year...then moreso to hear accounts from teammates about him believing he was the "voice of God" or that "God spoke to him" or something along those lines....fast fwd a couple of years and he winds up in the news for hacking up an unsuspecting jogger with a machete in East Dallas early one morning. Now doing life in prison.

Something like that is terrifying and barbaric enough, but someone like that was never going to get away with it in such a deranged condition. The fact that there is a guy out there somewhere operating freely and blending in with unsuspecting society at large, probably interacting up close and personal with at least a handful of people a day, who has such little capacity for empathy that he would violently kill 4 people in their sleep with a knife, is just something that really creeps me out. Someone very likely came face to face with him today or almost brushed elbows and has no idea.
I have recounted on TexAgs once before that 3x in my prosecuting career I have been in a courtroom with a truly evil defendant. The hair on the back of my neck would stand up when they entered the room, even if I had not seen them. There is evil in this world.

The guy who committed these crimes is evil. I still think he had been in this house before, probably a one night stand with the girl who has the most stab wounds. And he will do this again one day.

Hopefully the DNA can lead to a suspect or at least be stored in CODIS (LE DNA data base) so if he is caught and arrested for another crime his DNA found in this crime scene can link him to these 4 murders). It seems now that it all hinges on DNA found at the crime scene and whether that DNA can be tied to any one person.

Man, it sounds strange but that creepy feeling is real. I remember this time early 2000's in Houston when I was living in Hyde Park area and was picking up my dry cleaning at Waugh and Allen Parkway. I was in line when suddenly the hair on the back of my neck stood up and a chill ran through my body. I turned around and there was now this diminutive gray hair standing behind me. It was Robert Durst.

Thanks for that Rabbit Hole!

Email his handle and screenshots to the law: tipline@ci.moscow.id.us

ETA: They probably already have it. Snide comments are showing up on the knife picture. Must be widely known by now.

And this is why you shouldn't post on social media and why others scrubbed theirs. Jesus. Just like I said, people scouring them looking for any reason to connect them to the murders.

Agree.

If I'm a frat daddy known to the deceased and I post photos of myself pretending to stab someone with a k-bar (while the cops are looking for such a murder weapon), you're darn right I'm scrubbing it ASAP.

Fully agree. People especially college students (in a frat no less) say and do the dumbest crap just on a dare.

Literally just recreating a meme. That pic means absolutely nothing.

Going after people for things like that are why internet detectives do far more harm than good.

Exactly. This kid is now going to have half the internet stalking him and will use the fact that he made his account private to mean he has something to hide.

no one accused the kid of anything other than basic observations:
-appears to be a UI student and a member of frat with the house nearby
-gives off incel vibes
-literally posted multiple pics WITH A KA-BAR

nothing wrong with that after absolutely nothing from LE other than they are looking for a KA-BAR style knife
