I wonder about this too. Did it mention if he had any defensive wounds? Part of me wonders if he was able to get out of bed, but woozy and was the loud thump when BK pushed him back onto the bed.

That's been reported? Who he followed on social media? Hadn't seen that.
I'm curious if in any of those 12 times he was close to the house he may have actually gone in - if any of those times they were having a house party with all sorts of people coming and going - and he wandered in, unnoticed.
Possibly. I have seen it reported that his phone was close enough to hit the wifi in the house.

And as to the car. It is my speculation that he did intend to sell the car or trade it in while in PA. And that could have been why the police/FBI observed him meticulusly cleaning it inside and out.
Many FBI profiles of serial killers often include things like "he probably keeps very good care of his car".

Likely looking into unauth access and expecting to find something.

I imagine the thump was Xana falling to the ground, as she was found in the floor.

From the snippets you posted, it seems like all the videos and access were at WSU/Pullman and surrounding areas. Could he also have access to Moscow PD and their information?

Likely asleep or maybe booze induced pass out. Have not seen the autopsy reports nor the tox reports.

I assumed the same. My wag on the order of the attacks: As BK was leaving the 3rd floor he noticed Xana leaving the Jack n the Box bag in the kitchen. He followed her back to her room, where he noticed Ethan asleep. BK immediately attacks and kills Ethan (perhaps it was Xana who said I think someone is here to the sleeping Ethan as she entered her room (and not Kaylee who made the statement DM heard).

After BK attacks the sleeping Ethan, Xana is crying (which is the likely the cries heard by DM).

BK then says something to the effect of I'm not going to hurt you. He then proceeds to attack and kill Xana (security camera at the neighbors close to Xanas room picks up the inaudible conversation, whimpering and then a loud thud, which was likely Xanas deceased body falling against the wall or floor.

Also recall the police statement, that Xanas body was the first discovered when they opened the door to her room. Then they discovered Ethan (I seem to recall them stating on the bed).

IMO, the killer targeted Kaylee and or Madison (Kaylees dad said she confided in him about a Stalker in the weeks prior) .
I missed this. Where did he say this?

Also, if he followed them on instagram, that's going to create quite a link and just shows how stupid he is, but they probably had their profile set to private and he wanted to see picks. Should have created a burner insta.

In the 20/20 episode from last night. I believe I read this statement from Kaylees dad elsewhere too

I am a bit skeptical about that "security camera audio" establishing much, if anything. So I reserve using it as corroborating evidence thus far.

I do think it was Xana, not Kaylee, saying, "There's someone here," and she was saying it to Ethan to wake him up. BK injures Xana, could have been a fatal wound but she wasn't bleeding out immediately. So he then takes out Ethan while he's still in the bed, likely with a carotid cut to neutralize him quickly. Xana is whimpering as she is still alive. He returns to her, says, "It's okay, I'll help you," and then finishes her off.

If you look at the way DM's bedroom door, it swings in from right to left. Stairs to the third floor are to the right (as one is facing the door) and living room and hallway to Xana's room is to the left. So a cracked door with DM peeking out can't see the stairs behind her but she can see BK coming from the direction of Xana's room and exiting through the kitchen slider.

That could very well be. However I read years ago that "keeps good care of his car" was boilerplate included in almost any FBI serial killer profile.

Kaylee had already moved out. She just went back to show Maddie, her bestie, her new car. Had she just sent some pics instead and stayed at home to be ready to move to Austin?

I don't understand all these aspects where the university is having to vehemently deny things. I'd expect a PhD candidate in criminology to have those types of tools at their disposal. They're there for a reason, to be educated and trained to go into LE and specialist work post program. It's not the onus of the university to screen for potential serial killers. I'd hope they'd have measures in place to account for that with background checks, etc., but they have no legal obligation to do so, right? These programs exist to pump out good guys, not bad guys.

I work for a university. I can assure you that yes, the university is responsible for insuring that their students meet every security standard that any full time law enforcement would.

Does everyone on here think it would be easy to fight off a guy with a knife immediately after being woken up in the middle of the night in a pitch black room? Just seems the expectations are completely out of whack.

We are assuming Xana tells him "someone is in the house."

My wife tells me she hears something and I am up really quick, she say someone is in the house, I am screaming as I am reaching for my 9mm.

They had been out partying until 2am. Assuming he may had too many, but, we will find out in 6 ****ing months cause somehow they give creeps like our bent nose coward months to get his lies straight.

I'm assuming you and your wife don't have multiple roommates and people coming and going at all hours of the night?

I don't think how you (or I) would respond to a bump in the night now translates well to how college kids would. There shouldn't be people walking around my house at 4:00 am now. But that was not that unusual when I was I college and I certainly would have had a different reaction back then. College kids first thought is not going to be "there's a murderer in the house" because someone hears a noise.

I wouldn't read too much into this right now. Those requests read like boilerplate requests and may not have been tailored to this case. That may just be the generic requests that the attorney submits in every case.

Yeah, it's a reach and a stretch and a 'omg how dare we accuse her'…. until suddenly it isn't.

But upon further reflection, if she'd been involved, I guess she wouldn't have described him to a 'T'.

From the article:

Quote:

Inside Edition Digital previously reported that Kohberger did ask members of law enforcement if they had arrested another individual in connection with these murders after he was taken into custody last month.

In the court filing submitted by his public defender Ann Taylor, Kohberger requested: "Any written or recorded statements by a co-defendant, and the substance of any relevant oral statement made by a co-defendant whether before or after arrest in response to interrogation by any person known by the co-defendant to be a peace officer or agent of the prosecuting attorney, or which are otherwise relevant to the offense charged."
As another poster stated that's boilerplate language for defense discovery requests.

One caveat: The father and whether there is a possibility of his being potentially charged as an accessory after the fact. He appeared calm and mostly clueless during both traffic stops in Indiana but what happened after?

I watched both the Dateline and 20/20 episodes about the case. In the Dateline episode, the Indiana police officers said the traffic stops were completely coincidental.

A few pages back, there were several posts that the FBI arranged the stops to get footage of BK.

Anyone know which of these statements is true?

I find it really hard to believe he was pulled over twice in such a short span of time by pure coincidence.
