Women often freeze in fight or flight scenarios that involved life or death, especially sheltered girls like these probavly were.

Man, guess younger people can sleep through anything. The Hubs loves to play music loud late at night. Even with earplugs and 75 feet away, wakes me up.

It seems like it would have to be two were killed and then the other two came home and were killed at that point. Hard to imagine four people being overpowered at one time with no one hearing. Strange situation.

I know a guy that shot a black bear that had broken a large glass window in his cabin and was munching on chocolate cake in his kitchen. He shot it with a .30-06. I commented that firing that rifle inside must have been deafening. He chuckled and said his teenage daughter didn't wake up.

That's what I'm thinking, some stalker followed the two girls home only to be later surprise by the other two returning.

Unless the surviving roommates were involved, this makes the most sense imo. Murders happen in waves, murderer(s) leave, the last two girls get home to a quiet house and go to bed.

The only thing is the phone call to the police. It sounds like it was a relatively calm phone call reporting murders…that part doesn't make sense. I feel like they'd be in complete panic

Two of them had come back from a party, the other two had been at a bar.

Entirely possible they were all just passed out.

I saw an article that described the house as a six bedroom house, which makes he think Ag-Shack type housing. So it's also possible some or all of the 4 victims were all in their own rooms.

And if it's going to show up in a TV show, I'd say Criminal Minds (if it's still on. I have no idea.)

That is my thought as well. If the victims were under the influence of something, loud music playing, the killer could have killed two of the victims and then a bit later the other two came in and they were then killed.

Doubtful, it could have just been alcohol. At least for the roommates who did not wake up. And for the girls who were at the bar, perhaps as well if the killer let them fall asleep before killing based on the timeline.

I lived in a "party house" in college, and even so we didnt leace music on all night. After 2 or so on weekends we were asleep.

There were a few Twitter threads about it, but the cops said crime of passion so it's either stalker related or sex related. The odds of it being anything else are low given their language.

Sort of. The report I heard this morning was that they felt one of the victims was "the target." Now that may be the stalker one of the girls had complanied about a few weeks earlier.

I think I read that they were all found in their beds and were assumed to be sleeping.

Staging a murder scene is common with serials.

How much alcohol had they consumed? Or marijuana?

If they were all drunk or high and sleeping it off I can see how someone could easily kill 4 people methodically without being discovered. I assumed the other two girls were passed out in another room and didn't wake up until late the next morning and that's why it took so long for 911 to be called.

I would think the blood trails from stabbing them would rule out staging. Killing them one by one in their beds like Ronald DeFeo Jr. did his family without anyone waking up is how I think this went down. And he shot and killed his family.

We studied that case in criminology class and he had some type of chromosomal disease that was used by the defense, if I remember correctly.

Or used a pillow to muffle screams, that's the only way I can figure out how they were all found in their bed, and even the other 2 roommates didn't hear anything. I doubt everyone was sleeping with earbuds or "passed out".

Quibble about blood spatter evidence being evaluated accurately by a small crime scene forensic group that hasn't a single murder scene since 2015.

FBI only got to the crime scene today. Hate the FBI but they can do forensics on complicated murder/crime scenes...when they want to, that is.

Just too much about this story that does not add up.

And FTR: I am not suggesting this perp(s) is a current serial killer. This might just have been a first kill. Perp (likely male, white, if a serial) knew one or more of the victims. "First principles, Clarice."
