Kanye's entire point, that no one will apparently listen to, was that their people (Jews in the music biz and corporate media) are screwing over his people (black people) and he's personally experienced it.
The response is silly but not unpredictable. Kanye making a negative comment about Jewish businessmen is not the ****ing holocaust.

Might as well pick a more appropriate song for this football team anyway…
And go…

GAP makes a good point in OP about canceling people. But that point is different than people trying to justify Kanye's remarks.

The fact that our athletic director thinks he needs to address a 10 year old intro song, mid season, but yet the o line coach remains, might be why the program is in the shape it's in

The AD was the one who allowed and encouraged Mond and the rest of the athletes run amok, threaten to slash people, and attempt to tear down Sully. That's how they got an athletics dept. cart to bring to them to and from the "protest."itsyourboypookie said:

Jimbo, for all his faults, was dead set against their behavior.

Not that I've seen anything overtly antisemitic here…It shouldn't be a surprise that some may read the comments defending Kanye as supporting his message. It makes it easier for people who are actually antisemitic to slowly ingratiate themselves in the discussion by supporting the unfounded generalization that Jewish people run all entertainment and banking. This is how the left gets pulled further left by the fringe nutsBMX Bandit said:

Funny how Kanye is thrown out the door due to "antisemitic" remarks but absolutely NOTHING is ever done about other openly antisemitic trash (Illan Omar) if it doesn't wear a "White Lives Matter" shirt or align with the right.

Bingo! It isn't the antisemitic remarks. It is that he wore a "White Lives Matter" t shirt.
If he hadn't worn that shirt then nothing would be happening. There is still too much money to be made and power to be taken by the Blm grift.
So? We have elected officials that say worse about Jewish people and nothing happens to them. And they actually have POWER.ea1060 said:johnnyblaze36 said:That's it? I haven't even followed this Kanye saga that closely and am indifferent on him as a whole both musically speaking and on his whole persona (although I do realize he's extremely talented as does every writer from Rolling Stone to Billboard to Pitchfork to you name it...until this week) but this all seems extremely ridiculous to me.
I liked the revivals he was hosting for awhile. They seemed genuine enough to me and certainly inspiring to everyone around him.
Is there a thread on here someone can link me to that entails what it is that he said that was so wrong or considered "hate speech"? Or was it simply wearing a White Lives Matter t-shirt and doing a sit down interview with Tucker Carlson that sent all of the woke losers into a cancelation frenzy?
1. announced he was buying parler.
2. wore a white lives matter tshirt and verbally supported the idea behind it
3. The interview
4. made comments re: Jews controlling the music business, etc/
so all of wokedom and the chicken **** scared corporate interests decided it was time to cancel him.
ETA: Regarding #4, if that's what set people off (again I haven't heard the full context), then it's just further proof that pointing out facts really does hurt the feelings of these fragile imbeciles. Sad!
He posted the below on his Twitter/Instagram. I think the death con 3 part is what got him canceled.
I'm a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up
I'm going death con 3

Better to have built his own circular economy prior to his public complaints, as he has learned paper money, IOU's, digital credits are all only valuable under extremely specific terms and conditions.

There was a story on the local evening news today that our Athletic Director would be responding to whether the instrumentals from Kayne's "Power" will be played as part of our football intro going forward. The response is to occur on Thursday.
Normally, a public response indicates it will be cancelled as otherwise why would we address it in a public statement?
I fully expect the background of any artist or song writer played by our DJ at football and basketball games in the future to be vetted thoroughly as well for racist, misogynist, homophobic, ableist, etc. statements because by playing any of their music we are obviously endorsing all of their statements.
Stay tuned.
