Well, considering what we've seen from the so called "medical community" in the past 2+ years, not sure Shamanism isn't at least as good.

structural violence

patriarchal violence

same with having to quantify justice:

social justice

racial justice

economic justice

climate justice


There is just justice. You can't just put a modifier on justice and have it serve your purpose. By picking winners and losers with these bast ardized justice modifiers you are creating INJUSTICE. Justice is blind, and anything deviating from true justice is INJUSTICE.

I love this idea.

Any liberal with a cold all the way up to a serious life threatening medical condition should only be treated by sound healers, shamans, and medicine men.

Being treated by western medicine is the epitome of white privilege. Quit being a hypocrite and own this crazy ***** Put your life on the line and treat that leukemia with herbal tea, incense, and acupuncture.

Tons of PAs went to school in the Caribbean bc they couldn't get into a US school. I know a few, and they are so full of themselves.

Wait a minute. Perhaps she's right. Perhaps I've been wrong to blindly follow the medical traditions and superstitions of past centuries. Maybe we barbers should test these assumptions analytically, through experimentation and a "scientific method". Maybe this scientific method could be extended to other fields of learning: the natural sciences, art, architecture, navigation. Perhaps I could lead the way to a new age, an age of rebirth, a Renaissance!..Naaaaah.

To think that I wouldn't have had to waste all those years studying science backed by actual data if I had just learned a few spells and tossed a chicken head under the bed...

But don't discount the efficacy of leeches. They saved the ear of my very first patient when I was an intern.

Making tea from some root or herb and drinking it for headache relief isn't science because they did this over time and learned this concoction.

Science is testing and learning the chemical mechanism of what is happening within the body to create the relief.

I prefer the aspirin, much less fiber, but to each his own.

Yep, any doctor I use will have to at least be Gen X going forward therefore my age or older. Anyone coming out of medical school in the last few years would require a quick scan of where there medical degree is from and then make an automatic yes/no decision on them.

Most docs in Texas I run across went to school here though so hopefully our schools have not succumbed to this crap yet.
