No, because the rules of order don't require the school boards to respond or debate or justify their positions. The trustees could just all have airpods in listening to their favorite music.

I started a thread about the rules of order and whether they were actually beneficial in this setting and was roundly shouted down.

But, this one way speaking doesn't do anyone any good. There has to be a better way

I used to go to school board meetings periodically. People would bring stone cold facts to refute an issue/policy/procedure, etc. The board would thank them for sharing, and then continue to do the complete opposite.

These meetings are nothing but procedural. The boards check off the box that the meeting was held, and then move on with their agenda.

School board members, members of city council, etc. don't tend to listen until it is going to cost them something. When they do stupid stuff and do not remedy it, the only recourse (until you can get them voted out of office) is to be sure the community knows what they are doing, the name of their business or the company they work for, same information on their spouse, adult children etc. Better chance of them changing course if they feel they are going to lose some business, and money, over how they are behaving.

The answer is simply to leave. That gal is awesome and she is 100% right. But you ultimately can't win against the liberal cesspool when you don't have the numbers. The Bay Area is no place to raise children. They need to move, hopefully completely out of CA, but at least to more moderate or conservative areas (they actually do exist in CA).

The only way is to completely stop associating with leftists.

I'd say they absolutely do as they highlight the problem as being everywhere. The difference might not be made directly with that schoolboard, but I feel like it puts the others on watch and helps parents across the country know what to look out for and know that they're not weird or alone for speaking out against it.

Loudon County in VA became famous last year for the work that parents did at board meetings and emboldened others (mine and myself in Hays County included) to "take up arms"

While it is proper and founded to address a school board, sadly you are correct. If you wait to get active and confront the board in a regular meeting, you're usually too late. They have been instructed by their administration and legal team not to respond or interact with citizen inquiries. Most of the time, either the event in question has already occurred, or the board members have already made up their minds.

The battle is won or lost at the ballot box in electing the right people to the board in the first place.

in Loudoun county virginia the Republicans took over the leftist school board

the only cure is to run good candidates and get out and get them elected!

These videos should get like-minded parents together and get them active in local elections. School board elections often have surprisingly small voter turnout, and they can be affected by an organized campaign.

Bring back tar and feathering of public office holders. A few incidents would do wonders.

I live up in LA. I just called the local school district to see if they'd show any interest in a "family friendly beheading" for the kids.

They said it was cool as long as we do it in drag.

Also, eff public schools all of them. Want to make real change? Stop sending your kids to public school.

This sort of thing is another great argument for school choice/vouchers.

If the schools/districts in question faced the very real threat of directly losing money if the student unenrolled, you can bet your ass they would listen. Parents would have the ability to address the board, and if they are ignored, they would have the ability to take their kid (and the money linked to that kid) to a school that was more in line with normalcy.

Administrators fear nothing as much as they fear their little fiefdoms being taken from them or losing funding.

Well, she is white and a woman (sorry not a biologist but go with me, please). I think that is the working assumption anyway. It is true many white women vote Democrat. I would like to think there will be pendulum swing the other way soon. Unless one likes inflation, corruption, and the general decline of a great nation of course.

This. And be prepared to be stubborn when you're on the board. In Texas, as I'm sure is the case in other states ( I would guess), the approach to boards who lack obedience to the Superintendent is to have an expert come lecture to you from TASB.
