Probably correct. Unless it was realized....

Are school boards even necessary to teach the Three R's? Not seeing why a standardized lesson plan couldn't just be handled by teachers and banish all the social activism by getting rid of the very boards themselves. What do you need them for. Just a principal to oversee the teachers, and that principal answerable to the city govt or neighborhood even.

The school board system in Texas can work as long as people get off their butts and vote. Apathetic people who state their kids are gone, taxes are frozen, etc. as reasons not to care or vote are at the heart of poor leadership on school boards. School board is not PTO. Big bucks and common sense is at stake.
