Not just a snafu or a gaffe. It reveals how stupid, dangerous, and ignorant Trump is.

But in almost every case, the sanctions were imposed with Trump complaining about it saying we were being too hard. The fact is that he barely knew where Ukraine was. He once asked John Kelly, his second chief of staff, if Finland were a part of Russia. It is just not accurate to say that Trump's behavior somehow deterred the Russians. I think the evidence is that Russia didn't feel that their military was ready.

False. He is a dangerous clown that should never be power again. He's not qualified to run a lemonade stand.

American equipment is destroying Russians faster than anyone imagined. Was this a "Genius move"? Did it "cost $2" No.

Trump is generally a moron in my opinion.

But he was spot on regarding Russia. He called out other NATO countries for not contributing to their defense spending and was the only US President to actually put real pressure on those countries.

He called out Germany for becoming the overly reliant on Russian energy.

Putin's invasion of Crimeia was smart, wrong but smart. Putin's error was going after the rest of Ukraine. If he had just consolidated Crimia it'd have been a net win for Russia.

First of all, it's ironic that you are calling anybody stupid when you seem to think $2 was literal.

Secondly, did you not read your own post? He said $2 worth of SANCTIONS. The sanctions are NOT what is costing Russia this war. It took only 2 months for the Ruble to gain it's value back after the invasion, and it's even higher now.

What has caused Russia this war has been primarily the fighting spirit of the Ukranians plus the equipment given to them by THE ENTIRE WORLD. Biden is not a leader here, he is a follower. In fact, he has been an impediment. When Poland offered to give Ukraine it's Migs Biden squashed the deal, even after the Pentagon agreed to it. He idiotically mused out loud that Ukraine may have to have a "negotiated settlement here". Hell, be basically rolled out the red carpet to Putin to invade in the first place with his idiotic "minor incursion" statement.

Biden is easily the most idiotic president the US has ever had. The fact that anybody defends this moron says a whole lot about the defenders level of intelligence.

When Putin ends up with Eastern Ukraine, liberals will say Putin lost the war.

Putin will end up taking most everything east of the Dnipro River and it will be becuase white liberals elected a Kompromised weak POTUS.

Putin lost the war the moment markets opened on Monday, February 28 and Ukraine had not capitulated. That was Putin's window of opportunity for an easy victory. Every moment since has been an exercise in futility. If Russia manages to hold any territory at all, it will come at the cost of thrice decimating their armed forces. Some victory.

So yes, all of these points are literally true. It's also really gross to characterize a critical position towards Russia as a liberal point of view.

2019 - 11,982 average barrels / day produced to july (when the 2022 number cuts off). 12,312 if using the entire years data.

2022 - 11,610 thousands of barrels / day produced to july.

Is 11982 now a smaller number than 11610?

Is 2022 complete or are there more months after July?

Using the forecast data you provided:

Quote:
U.S. crude oil production in our forecast averages 11.8 million barrels per day (b/d) in 2022

for the remainder of the year would put the 2022 average at 11,689 for this year. Still smaller than 12,312 for 2019.

So you were wrong.

And you never admitted you were wrong, that you didn't understand the data you were posting, and that you shouldn't have argued with people smarter with you before understanding the data you yourself provided.

So that makes twice now that we have gotten into discussions that you have made false claims and argued you weren't when called out. Last time you stopped talking to me, I wonder what happens this time?

I wouldn't call it genius, but it was certainly smarter to invade during Obama/Biden than during Trump. Ukraine is lucky that they had 4 years during Trump to prepare for the inevitable invasion under the next democrat president.

Here's your answer:

What was Putin's goal?

If it was to take back land that is inhabited by Russian speakers and "cultural" Russians, then yes-- he will accomplish that.

If it was to take over the whole of Ukraine, then it was a disaster.

BUT--- here's the rub-- accomplishing this goal by Putin couldn't happen EVER under a Republican administration.
And certainly not under a Trump administration.

And the fact that your myopic brain can't see that, is all the rest of this forum needs to know about you

Lots of revisionist history and "feelings" and "vibes" here. Putin's war in Eastern Ukraine continued through Trump's term.

Quote:

We did impose sanctions on Russian oligarchs and several others because of their sales of S-400 antiaircraft systems to other countries. Putin's control over those sections of Ukraine was completed well-before Trump's term in office, after Team Obama quite clearly demonstrated their "red line" in Syria was worthless.

Weakness is provocation. When we show ourselves to be weak, our enemies take the full advantage of it.

As for the bold, since when has Russia ever shown a concern for military readiness?

A close look at their foreign policy history demonstrates a tendency to take advantage of perceived weaknesses of their neighbors over any concern over military readiness.

You mean Bolton has bad things to say about Trump? Shocking a guy Trump fired and then showed how wrong he was when he pulled off peace in the Middle East that Bolton thought was impossible is petty and still and looking for Democrats to show him some love (after literally decades of thinking Bolton was Satan incarnate for you guys since he loves war). Trump used him like a $3 ***** to get leverage to end the War on Terror by making Iran think he was going to actually go to war with them and ended up playing them all like a fiddle by getting Israel and Saudi allied. Bolton will never get over that, neither will Kelly or "Mad Dog".

As for your OP, if Trump is President then Russia never invades Ukraine. Why? Trump made it clear to Putin he would light up Moscow if he did and Putin believed him because Trump actually backed up his threats in Syria by mowing down 500 Russian mercenaries without hesitation. He also would not have had that disaster in Afghanistan and he would have kept Nordstream 2 on the sidelines. Putin invaded because he knew Biden was weak.

BTW, Putin wins in Ukraine if he didn't assume it was going to be a cakewalk. Had he sent in his best troops to start and gone straight for Kiev then Ukraine loses before NATO (and make no mistake, NATO is who pushed Biden to help Ukraine and it's not Biden who is leading he is just financing). Putin was planning on going from Ukraine to the Baltics but he was smelling his own farts on how effective his military was and now he is in a mess.

Finally this is about how it ends and Putin still has the trump card, he can go nuclear and as long as he doesn't have an assurance of a NATO response in kind he very well might. Due to that he will be able to get a far better deal than he should be able to because there isn't much of a choice. Russia is willing to go nuclear and NATO is not and he knows it. So at this point we are pushing this to a point where we continue to escalate and risk nuclear war or we find a compromise with him. That's the lovely position Biden has now put us in. If all you care about is smearing Putin's face in crap and you don't care if he makes Ukraine and maybe the world glow in the dark that's ok I guess but I would rather we weren't in this situation. It's not like anyone thought Russia could beat NATO in a conventional fight so I am not sure what your flex is.

Putin is a horrible person that has no concern for human life, even his own people. He cares about his own power and sees himself as Peter the Great reincarnated. He's not an idiot though and to look at what is going on in Ukraine without understanding what Putin is doing is insanity.

LOL.

Biden is the personification of weakness. He basically said a "minor incursion" was no big deal. Took troops and air support off the table BEFORE Putin invaded. He said that Ukraine would need to negotiate a settlement. He kept Poland from providing Ukraine MIGs.

Ukraine is winning despite Biden, not because of him. He has basically been guilted by the rest of the West into helping financially like they are. Which is no big deal to him since it's not his money. He's as weak and idiotic as they come.

And you voted for him. That says a lot.
