Smart move by China.

They have coal within their own borders. A dependence upon imported oil when the US has the best blue water Navy in the world and friendly relationships/leverage on most of the oil producing countries in the middle east (not to mention the asian countries along the strait of malacca) is a cricial strategic vulnerability.

China is also investing in Nuclear and other more green energy systems, but they aren't limiting themselves to green only.

I want any green climate change idiot to tell me how reducing my "carbon footprint" by driving a EV will have any affect on climate change when China is building hundreds of new coal plants.

Also, have you noticed all the rich celebs who scream climate change (Leo Crapio for one) all have huge yachts, which are powered by what? Large diesel engines. Hypocrite is strong enough word for him.
