Says they are very worried that he will lose.

Gotta get rid of him soon so a replacement has a chance to get out there and campaign.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

August 15th was the deadline under state law for substituting a candidate if he withdrew.

Of course, it was against state law in New Jersey when they pulled the Laufenberg for Torricelli switch and it still happened.

That's not good for Fetterman. At all. He can't debate Oz and it is getting harder and harder for him to avoid debating. I really don't see how he gets the momentum back and wins this outside of Oz doing something really stupid.

WaPo and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette both extremely left leaning publications, calling him out over this is not good for him at all.

I'm not a political expert nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but I know enough to understand that when you're a Democrat and you've caught the ire of the Democrat apologists at the WaPo this close to election time, then you've got problems. Big problems. And this on top of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette editorial board raising similar issues about Fetterman last week, calling concerns about his health "legitimate."

But as I said before, even without the health issues taken into consideration, Fetterman has taken some highly questionable and in some cases hypocritical positions on the issues, including on his opposition to school choice, his racisty opposition to voter ID, his soft-on-crime positions as well as his opposition to American energy independence, and most alarmingly, his belief in abortion on demand for any reason and at any stage of pregnancy.

Those are extreme positions in a blue collar state like Pennsylvania, and they could ultimately come back to haunt Fetterman should more residents in his state learn about them, all of which may be the underlying reason why he doesn't want to do more than one debate if that one even happens.

Lipoma is a strong possibility.

Not a doctor, but I do watch Dr. Pimple Popper.
A lipoma would be my guess. Emphasis on guess.

A hematoma would be discolored from the blood beneath the skin.

It's kind of large to be a sebaceous gland cyst. They usually get infected and have to be removed before they get that large, but still possible. Not an uncommon location for one.

If it's a tumor then he's probably screwed. He looks too well nourished to have a tumor that large and so easily detected.

Could he have a drain implanted after his stroke that has some leakage?

Don't know of any drains that are placed after a stroke. Drains are placed for hydrocephalus (too much CS fluid) but they drain into the peritoneal cavity and wouldn't bulge out back there even if it was a drain.

This is a reach, but a widely disseminated cancer/lymphoma could cause both a stroke and a tumor back there on his neck. But again, he looks too well nourished to have widespread cancer.

Just my opinion from what I can see in that one pic. Which isn't enough to make any kind of serious diagnosis.

Fetterman has nothing to worry about. There will certainly be enough stupid and completely ignorant voters to vote him in since he is promising free stuff. All the Democrat candidates are incompetent and can't solve problems, only create problems but they get elected by promising free stuff paid for by taxpayers. They could all dress up like Boso The Clown and get elected. It's the new American way !

While I agree with your conclusion, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette editorial board, which is who called out Fetterman, is actually right-leaning. They also endorsed Trump in 2020. The Washington Post calling Fetterman out is a much bigger deal politically and a lot harder for him and his campaign to dismiss.

I know everything has to be all about GLBTFQ+-… (but especially trans) all the time for the leftists, but this seems a bit desperate even for 'they/them.'

What a clown.

No matter how brilliant you may have been before, a stroke fries so many brain circuits that it is sometimes impossible to form words, or get them out of your mouth. You simply can't make the connection between thought and speech.

While I feel sorry for this guy, there is absolutely no reason to elect yet another senator who has a fried brain.

57 of the current 100 senators would be too old by election day to fly an airliner. And airline pilots have physicals every 6 months.

8 of them are already older than the average life expectancy in the US

Lookit, people: I don't much care for Dr Oz and I believe he should renounce his Turkish citizenship rather than maintaining it as either an exotic identity marker or a future escape hatch but Democrats' defense of John Fetterman is simply obscene.

First off, he's a limousine leftist manchild with marked cognitive impairment. He has no history of legislative success (in fact, quite the opposite, as cities in PA slide into Third World gangland governance) and no experience operating in the world outside his trust fund. He's a pampered tax cheat who'd happily raise taxes on the rest of us to fund spendy, Quixotic Social Justice boondoggles whose only tangible results will be a line on the left's rsum pointing to additional instances of cynically stolen virtue. As you suffer, Fetterman, in halting, garbled verbiage, will congratulate himself on being woke as ****! and down for the struggle!

But let's face it: This hulking, gelatinous Mama's boy is far closer to Hugo Chavez than he ever was to Cesar Chavez. He's AOC with Shaggy's soul patch, a far slower metabolism, and a brain lesion the size of a banana.

If we had anything other than a totally politicized legacy media, this boutique communist's campaign would already be as dead as the armadillo carcass buried behind his skater hood. He ruins whatever he touches while cos-playing at Working Class Hero.
Are we really okay with that?

I'm not sure Kathy or the hedge fund guy were much better candidates to be honest. Would have been nice to have someone else outside of those 3.
