When Mrs LOYAL AG and I were students we'd take our dog to Research Park for walks. Some random day there was two guys there, one with a lab and the other with a Rottweiler. They had a floating toy and they would get the dogs running towards that ledge that surrounds the tree roots. As they reached the ledge the lab would run off into the water at full speed while the Rottweiler would stop at the edge, look down at the water then cautiously jump in. Then while the lab was swimming back with the toy the Rottweiler would confront him and take it away before they returned to the shore together. We probably watched this happen 5-7 throws.

We have friends in San Antonio that had a similar story about their then young son and their Great Dane. A neighbors German Shepherd got loose and was racing towards the boy while the Dane was laying in the grass. When he heard the other dog he ran to the boy and hurdled him to get between the boy and other dog who screeched to a halt and stood there looking at the Dane. It's neat to hear these kinds of stories about dogs protecting their families.

Yes, I'll have to post them later. I have a cool video of those 2 playing the other night.

I bought her from my neighbor's best friend. She was the last one left and she gave me a great deal and "Precious" has found a great home. She's already spoiled ass rotton.

She's beautiful. So cute.

I lost my sweet girl, my dachshund, almost 2 weeks ago. I knew it was coming, but it came a little faster than I thought. I miss her so much. I was with her until the end, and it was peaceful.

My other dog and cats are comforting me through the loss, It will just take time. I'll open my heart at some point to another dog.

This is my sweet Prudence, or Prue. She was 12 1/2. An early picture and one from a few months ago. She was a love bug.

I'm sorry Annie but all dogs go to heaven so you'll see her again.
