IRS can't recruit that many agents, especially ones with a financial/ accounting background. FLETC would take years training them.

CITP (the first academy they would go through) is a basic school and teaches no one to be tactically proficient. Agencies that have tactically competent people, train them in the agency's follow on training and most of the agencies don't do a good job.

edit to add: the IRS training accountants to be tactical is laughable. Once a group of irs agents comes up against someone with some real military experience, you're gonna have a bunch of irs agents who don't want to leave the office.

The real question is what is actually going to happen with all this money going to the IRS.

How long would it take to find 87000 people who can get past the Standard form 86 on e-QIP?

There are 98,000 public schools in America.

We could have almost put 1 of the "agents" in each and every school.

But Biden is more concerned about taking your money than he is protecting your children.

Maybe they aren't looking for accountants. Just muscle who can raid (sorry, enforce a warrant on) grannies caught taking deductions for contributions to conservative causes. They would probably get off on that.

Yes. It was criminally irresponsible to be guided by just emotion in fall 2020 -- the Biden clique made clear what they would do in August 2020 and then again in October 2020 and it was even more clear to elect them would be electing a shadow government and an unknown writing the policy. But now anyone contemplating voting Democrat in the fall is simply criminal or too well off to be impacted by economic events. Getting the Hill back is the only change of mitigating anything.

I am not for the expansion of the IRS but there is a lot of spin with this talking point and these Special Agent jobs have existed for a long time. Here's an actual job description. These are the LEOs who go after wolf of wallstreet type offenders.

I watched a couple of episodes of "To Catch a Smuggler" or something like that. It got me to thinking of all the agencies that have armed agents and SWAT-like teams. Seems terribly redundant and wasteful....unless their is a method to their madness.
