Every deal with IRS CID?

Few white people, mostly female and POC.
Usually they are accompanied by FBI of the same makeup.
They are all about seizing assets.
You can reason with rapid pit bulls easier.

I personally want to see tax cheats prosecuted, and it takes law enforcement to do that. However, all this tactical stuff with IRS-CID agents is just cosplay. If they ever have to go arrest someone where they expect violence, they probably bring in local PD and the US Marshals to do the dirty work. Then everyone can stand around in tactical gear for a few hours.

Exactly!
In the past they would bring FBI with them.
It is about intimidation.
An armed IRS agent would most likely not get "punched in the face" like that one poster bragged he would do.

did you not read the whole thing?

Do you not think it is reasonable to shoot a dog when it is necessary for self defense or the defense of others?

Somewhat. The problem is they get kids straight out of college, with no life experience and basically brainwash them into thinking they are the "best," and us against them. Us against them IMO is fine when you're talking the cops vs predatory criminal organizations, but not the cops against the average citizen.

There is a great opportunity to go after criminal organizations, as an IRS agent, but the culture often doesn't support it (this is many agencies). You can go after a chinese backed criminal organization laundering money from fentanyl sales, or joe plumber who didn't do his taxes right, or even cheated and "cost" the govt a few thousand bucks. Yet there are relatively few IRS agents on task forces going after criminal organizations.

In most situations, No I don't. They don't need to put themselves in situations where they're doing that. If the homeowners are not at home why are they there? You walk in on someone else's property and then you shoot their dog? No call them have them put the dogs up or deal with it in some way.

And many dogs that have been shot in situations like this weren't even vicious dogs. The people just didn't wanna deal with them.

There are lots of ways to deal with dogs.

However dog attacks do happen. Yes you can defend yourself in that case But I'm talking about when they're walking on someone's property, the dogs just sitting there and they shoot them.

IRS can't recruit that many agents, especially ones with a financial/ accounting background. FLETC would take years training them.

CITP (the first academy they would go through) is a basic school and teaches no one to be tactically proficient. Agencies that have tactically competent people, train them in the agency's follow on training and most of the agencies don't do a good job.

edit to add: the IRS training accountants to be tactical is laughable. Once a group of irs agents comes up against someone with some real military experience, you're gonna have a bunch of irs agents who don't want to leave the office.

The real question is what is actually going to happen with all this money going to the IRS.

They will dumb down the requirements. It'll become more workfare with dummies carrying guns.
GS-07 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must have one year of specialized experience

To be qualifying, this experience must have been acquired in investigative work related to the ACCOUNTING OR AUDITING OF BUSINESS OR COMMERCIAL PRACTICES OF SUBJECTS INVESTIGATED.

OR
EDUCATION: You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: One full year of graduate level education which included or was supplemented by at least 15 semester/23 quarter hours in accounting plus an additional 9 semester/14 quarter hours from among the following fields: business law, economics, finance, tax law or money and banking.

They can't dumb down these job requirements. Even if they could, it is logistically impossible to hire and train this amount of people. The money is going to end up somewhere else.

That procedure doesn't say they can just walk on someones property and shoot the dog. It literally says "when it is necessary for self defense or the defense of others".

The IRS / fed govt has plenty of legit things to attack, no need to misquote in order to support a viewpoint. That is a tool of the left.

The policy does have an issue insofar as it says deadly force may be used in the opinion of the agent. What it doesn't clarify, but what all the agents learn in legal training is the "opinion" must be based on articulatable facts. Sloppy writing that probably led to people taking this as they can just randomly shoot dogs.

Well, they already had the guns and ammunition. Now they have the "Soldiers" to use them.
