Because "conservatives" are always on the wrong side of history?
Sorry, when exactly have the "conservatives" been in the wrong side of history? I'm sure the are times, but thinking of the big ones...
KKK - democrats
Japanese concentration camps - FDR democrat
Trail of Tears - Jackson democrat
Slavery - democrats
Jim Crow - democrats
Great Society - democrats
KKK movie in the Whitehouse - Wilson democrat
So you're saying the southern slave owners and KKK members were actually liberals and progressives?
Your grandparents were probably democrats. We're they liberals?
I'm still waiting on you to explain how conservatives have always been on the wrong side of history when I've given you several examples of them being on the correct side of history and dems supporting slavery and racism.
Republican party was founded on anti-slavery/pro-liberty principles. People join and change parties of a variety of reasons. Black Americans voted heavily Republican for decades after Lincoln (Republican). Somehow with welfare and empty promises racists like Wilson, FDR and the media were able to convince black Americans to vote dem. And they switched. They did receive some help, but at the cost of black fathers in the home.
There appears to be some inroads into the black community by Republicans with great leaders like Thomas Sowell, Larry Elders, Candice Owens and others cracking open the door. I have hope for the black community, but success won't come from the government.
I'll wait....
