Cheney is everything that's wrong with modern politicians. They think they are elected to be "leaders" and then go off to Washington to do what they "think" or "feel" is right. That's not how it works. They are simply supposed to be the mouthpiece for their constituents. You are their voice. The people determine your policy and interests.

None of that is surprising. And the Wyoming GOP effectively kicked her out. According to an article I saw - they don't even have Cheney yard signs. They have them for every other GOP candidate.

As the one woman said, they think she "done them dirty".

Because of her last name Cheney thinks she's part of an elite group of rulers. She doesn't care what the serfs in Wyoming think.

A former resident of Wyoming here. I love that state--typically they love Texans too, except they always claim that "they are the real rodeo state and that people too often wrongly attribute that to Texas"

Lovely place and beautiful to boot.

When I arrived in Wyoming back in my O&G years, I went to a liquor store in Cheyenne. The dude running the place looked just like Phil Robertson, beard and all.

He checked my ID and said," A Texan huh? Welcome. How are you liking our state?"

I said," I just moved here and it's nice so far. The laws seem similar except for the liquor laws and gun laws."

He goes, "yeah we are an open carry state and we don't sell beer at convenience stores". I said, " yeah what does that open carry mean?"

He immediately grabbed a shotgun from under the counter, put it on the counter and said, "I can go out in the street carrying this, unloaded, and the cops cant say **** to me.

It was then that I knew I would love my time in Wyoming--and I did.

I'm surprised they didn't edit the few people that said they would vote for her to make it look like the whole state was. Of course maybe they couldn't find anyone.

Had an old boss who was from Cheyenne. That rodeo and festival is a big deal and attracts more rural, conservative folks.

I'm sure they tried to find a Cheney supporter but couldn't get anyone on record, on camera.

I'm sure you'd love it.

Been several times. The arena is enormous.

Now if I could get to the Calgary Stampede, and then on to Lake Louise (Banff) without having to contribute to Canada's economy, it would be perfect. I shouldn't say that, as Calgary is typically conservative. It's the buttheads from Toronto and east that cause the problems.

Will still be glad when she's gone from Congress.

However many of the Republican losers who allowed her to do what she's been doing are still there.

I don't know why he stipulated that it would be unloaded. I live in Wyoming and when I carry, open or concealed, it's always loaded. I guess one exception would be carrying a firearm into a gunsmith's shop for service.

I've already had the pleasure of voting early for the GOP primary, and my vote was for Hageman. And all my friends are reminding each other to vote. She's detested here. But you cannot listen to am radio for five minutes without hearing a Cheney commercial and you know good and well that every one of them are being paid for by democratic PACs.

The wife and I binged watched every episode over the last couple weeks. Now we're like. 'Damn! Get us some more episodes!!'

I can hear the Montanans reaction. 'Yep, when we have a problem with soembody up here, we just take'em down to the train station.' (insert rolls eyes meme)

I've been all over the planet, and Montana is the most beautiful place I've been.

I have friends that moved from Nevada to Wyoming due to the influx of Californians destroying Nevada.

He informed me that the same is again happening as the locusts are now moving into Wyoming, buying property and increasing the cost of housing.
