"****ing n*****s, I ****ing hate them," Officer Rose Valentino said on body camera.

" This isn't the first time Valentino has been in trouble. Despite earning good marks during evaluations, she has been reprimanded for questionable actions several times since becoming an officer in 2008. In 2019, she was named in a federal lawsuit against the city filed by a realtor and a homebuyer, both of whom were Black, who accused her and two other officers of racial discrimination. During the November encounter, the officers ordered two men out of a home they were viewing at gunpoint in front of the homebuyer's 9-year-old son. The city settled the lawsuit for $151,000.

Every Rose has its thorn.


This Rose's thorn seems to be racism. She needs to find a new line of work if that report is legit. Undermines public confidence in the PD otherwise, even if you can't tie her purported beliefs to actions.

more telling is why they reviewed her records for that day. did she do other stuff that warranted it?

could be targeted harassment, or ongoing directed monitoring given her history....


Maybe someone heard her and filed a complaint, or maybe another officer heard her yelling at other drivers and filed one. Could be a lot of things.

Either way, you can't tell me that kind of attitude doesn't bleed into her job. She's really not the hill to die on when it comes to cops.

and given the story, they should have included the "how/why" if it had happened that way, since hte facts presented do not flow logically to detection.


Nowhere lists it, so the department probably hasn't said how it came up. Either way, the how and why are really inconsequential. It could have been one of many things, but all that matters is that it did come up.

Yeah, she needs to go. Thank god she didn't go further than that and lie to a FISA court to obtain a search warrant to spy on a POTUS campaign. Or suppress evidence from a laptop of multiple felonies including sex trafficking and bribery. That would be way worse.
