Carbon Capture and Nuclear are both big pieces that should be being looked at. As is battery storage for renewables.
This is how you know it's not really about solving the "crisis", because these things are a huge part of the solution, and progressive liberals don't care much about them. Without these things, our efforts are like using a bucket to empty the oceans.

As with all things progressive liberal, the "solutions" cause more pain and suffering than the original problems. It's not about real solutions. It's a religion. There is a creed that has to be followed by the masses. And pure corruption at the top to funnel money into their coffers. It has all the characteristics of a Cult.

As we plow head long into massive amounts of lithium batteries for our energy needs, can anyone explain how that is truly "clean" and "renewable"?

I recently listened to a Crenshaw podcast with an energy expert on there discussing how these people are actually anti energy. They don't want alternative energy to replace fossil fuels, they want to take us back to the Stone Age and reduce our energy usage period. That's why they are so opposed to nuclear. If you watch how they behave, he's right.
Then take it away from the policy imposers. Are you saying Dan Crenshaw was warning of this?

No it was Alex Epstein on Crenshaw's podcast. I know many don't like Crenshaw and I disagree with him on some of the political stuff, but I appreciate his podcast because it's usually in the interview format and focused on in depth policy issues. I find the more common current event monologues tiresome.

Preview of the announcement today:

Quote:

  • Fighting the heat: Biden's actions Wednesday will include new funding for the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) program to protect communities facing extreme heat. Projects under the program aim to reduce the risks communities face from disasters and natural hazards.

  • Energy bills: Biden will also issue guidance to support the Department of Health and Human Services Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, which helps families with energy costs.

  • Wind energy: The new action will also include boosting domestic offshore wind industry.

  • Future actions?: While Biden is not issuing a climate emergency Wednesday, it's still on the table, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Tuesday.

re: rising sea levels.

Would like to see proof of this because I've still never seen it:

Quote:

  • John Kirby, the National Security Council coordinator for strategic communications, said Tuesday that climate change is "a national security issue." He noted that infrastructure is already being impacted by climate change, such as millions of dollars being invested in Norfolk naval bases to improve infrastructure being impacted by rising sea levels.

Needs to declare an inflation emergency or carbon energy emergency, something that would actually help the country and not try to send it back to the stone age.

We went from two weeks to stop the spread to declaring a climate emergency in 2-years.

We deserve what we about to get.

I bet they won't be boosting off shore wind energy on the NE coast. It will all happen in the Gulf Coast for red states.

They are spending on it in anticipation of it, not because it's happened. Per Navy family member

Could be using that money to harden and bolster the grids but f* it let's throw money at a problem that doesn't exist.

Complete garbage. Idk how much time ove spent at NNS but its probably more than everyone else on this board combined and it isn't rising water that has caused that place to have problems its because its a complete ****hole. Also anything on or around the water will have wear and tear because nothing around water lasts forever. The rising water that causes issues? They are called tides.

Exactly, we have a house on the gulf coast on the water. Been there for 24 years. Water level is still the exact same. **** will fall apart on you quickly though because it's salt water not because it's rising.

The latest CNN poll showed that 68% of U.S. adults believe Biden's priorities are wrong and that the president hasn't paid enough attention to critical issues facing Americans, like the economy and inflation. This is up 10% from November 2021, when the data was last tracked, according to the poll.
Whoops. At least we are funding projects for mythical rising oceans though.

Floods? Climate
Drought? Climate
Heat? Climate
Cold? Climate
Snow? Climate
Hurricane? Climate
No hurricanes? Climate
Strong hurricane? Climate
Weak hurricanes? Climate

You would be wrong there.

Offshore Wind development is currently focused off NE and the east coast.

Best wind for power production close to high population density.

Mass on down to North Carolina.

Laundering our tax dollars through Democrat donors back to Democrat coffers while punishing the donors of his political opposition. That's really all there is to it. Surely no one actually believes he's doing this to save the climate?

Oh dear.

No, it's extreme heat due to summer just like we get extreme cold due to winter. Droughts happen quite often in fact. I've seen several here in Texas in my lifetime.

Actually, in large parts in the world they happen constantly.

Climate change does not exist. I know that's hard for some of you to understand but it doesn't. Man is not controlling the weather.

. The Marine Corps Air Station at Beauford, SC was upgrading their infrastructure to prevent the week long power outage, and complete loss of productivity that occurred when the last major storm blew threw and knocked down half the 50yr old power lines. The entire project was to put it all below grade. Had nothing to do with "climate change"…
