Qualifications in the field and in administration of a bureaucracy?Quote:
Raised in Perry, Iowa, their parents were Southern Baptist missionaries who disapproved of Brinton's attraction to a male friend from school.[4] Brinton graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in nuclear engineering and vocal music. They have a dual Master of Science degree in nuclear engineering, technology and policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.[5] Brinton is married.[6] They told Metro Weekly they are an animal roleplay enthusiast.[7]
The fact that "they" use "their" biography to take a shot at "their" parents and Southern Baptists tells me everything I need to know about this Star Wars bar patron. I hope HR is overwhelmed with grievances from this **** waffle.

I'm just trying to imagine being in a meeting led by this person. Hard to take seriously.Burdizzo said:
I have always heard you should dress for the job you want. I didn't know the career path Figure Skating Commentator went through the Department of Energy. Hey to Johnny Weir.

But remember that crazy woman astronaut that wore diapers so she could race across the U.S. without stopping over some silly breakup or something (not gonna look up the details again now)?ABATTBQ11 said:MouthBQ98 said:

Undergrad in nuclear engineering. Masters in nuclear engineering and policy from MIT. Many years in nuclear lobbying and waste disposal. Probably hour many qualified people for this role, but this is certainly one.
If she was an astronaut then I'm sure she had a list of qualifications a mile long, but I'm also willing to bet anyone around her for any length of time would have said "Oh hell no, I'm never getting in a tiny spaceship for extended periods with that psycho!"

Frankly I don't care what the person looks like, what gender they are, etc as long as they can handle the job correctly. With that being said, I have my extreme doubts about this one.
Wow, I didn't realize Buzz went to MIT...Salute CornPops Message said:

A government that looks past merit and merit alone is one that will one day bar you because you're conservative or a Christian.

Yeah, no. This person should not be able to hold a security clearance.
I worked for the feds for 16 years. You cannot be a deviant and hold a security clearance.
Upon double checking, you are correct.ABATTBQ11 said:
I don't think this is appointed.
So it's appointed, but not appointed by the current administration?Quote:
Sam Brinton became deputy assistant secretary of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition in the Energy Department's Office of Nuclear Energy in January 2022. Before joining the Department of Energy, Brinton was most famous as an gender non-binary activist, and made headlines for wearing a gender-fluid outfit to the 2018 Academy Awards ceremony. The picture accompanying some of the posts is Brinton in the Academy Awards outfit.
The Daily Mail reported that Brinton was a member of a drag queen group called the Order of Perpetual Indulgence, including a picture from Brinton's Instagram account showing Brinton at a Sisters of the Order of Perpetual Indulgence event.
The Department of Energy told the Washington Examiner that while Brinton was being considered for a career appointment, the role is not a political appointment. So, while Brinton is joining the Department of Energy, Brinton is not a "Biden nominee" as some have claimed.
The Department of Energy told The Dispatch Fact Check that Brinton's position is "not an appointment through the Biden-Harris administration," but that it was "unable to comment on any additional personnel matters related to that post at the moment."

Our federal government has become nothing more than a jobs program for freaks, qualifications be damned. 2024 can't get here soon enough to put adults back in charge of running the government, if there's even anything left by then.

What qualifications in the field of nuclear energy is he lacking?
Got the visual there.Quote:
Who knows. Would be interested to be a fly on the wall in conversations with this guy and the people in Amarillo at Pantex.
People who dress like that and are into "animal roleplay" (publicly!) make me question their sanity.Teslag said:
