Groomers gonna groom

Threads like this make me wonder how it was back when the entrainment industry started having women and minorities be main characters in TV shows and movies. If the people said similar things, but instead of grooming, used another term to support their being against what was going on.
It'll be interesting to see in a decade or so, once the LGBTQXYZ community is seen as normal when on the screens, what will be the next thing some people will be outrages about.
And like previously mentioned, you can always just not watch it. Let the market decide and whatnot.

I don't care how someone chooses to live. We all have crosses to bear.
But this whole month, they shove the pride crap down our throats. So I had to cut the kids profiles over to very restricted so they don't stumble into something I don't approve. Wtf happened to the leadership at Disney? Maybe they were all closeted for decades or something.
You should be turning off Disney completely
The thing is, my kids love all the traditional stuff: adventure, traditional themes, courage, redemption, etc. Why can't we have access to that without all the other bull****

I feel a unicorn. White straight male married to a straight white female. You don't see that in the entertainment industry. No Spin Ag said:

Whether fighting, feasting, or frolicking, there's one thing people weren't doing over Thanksgiving: going to see Strange World. Since its debut on November 23, the film has risen in the ranks to one of Pixar's biggest flops ever and could stand to lose $100 million at the box office.
Strange World had a budget of anywhere between $130 million and $180 million, per IndieWire. Over its first five dayswhich included a three-day weekend often considered one of the year's most profitablethe film brought in less than $19 million.
Quote:
The last time a Thanksgiving gross fared so poorly for Hollywood was 1994, and movie ticket prices averaged $4.08. A weekend garnering under $100 million is rare in and of itself; in 2019, only four weekends wore the heavy crown.

This year, the domestic Thanksgiving box office tallied around $121 million. "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" led the pack, with "Strange World" taking second place. All other films, including Sony's "Devotion," Disney and Searchlight's "The Menu," Warner Bros. "Black Adam" and Universal's "The Fabelmans" tallied less than $10 million each. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/11/27/disney-is-the-biggest-winner-and-loser-at-the-thanksgiving-box-office.html
Strange World came in second at the box office. Looks to be more about changing trends in entertainment than people boycotting Disney for wokeness.

The premise of this thread is that Disney is pushing degeneracy down children's throats. That is unquestionably true.rgvag11 said:

Box office sales are down across the board.and I explained that the reason for this could be that the content is woke instead of entertaining and people will not spend $50 for a family to go get preached to and indoctorinated. Disney being a part of this is affected.
Disney is doing better than its competitors in the box office. You say this while providing no evidence. Strange world seriously underperformed.
Disney+ is the third most popular streaming service after Netflix and Prime. 3Q '21 revenue $1.4 Billion with 95 million subscribers. (eta: almost a two-fold increase from last year.)it's the third largest....out of 4 competitors. Netflix, Prime, and Paramount + are the only real competitors for this market. HBO plus is a niche. YouTube red is an adjunct. HULU is part of the Disney package. You also forget to mention that Disney plus is not yet profitable and is underperforming against what it has been expected to bring in regarding both subscribers and revenue
Thread fail.

Disney is going to garner a certain amount of market share because of their legacy and other services that come with it like HULU and ESPN.rgvag11 said:

The issue isn't whether or not Disney is losing money. Given its reach and history, Disney will likely always be plenty profitable.rgvag11 said:
As Ags4DaWin pointed out, people "can manipulate facts all you want to fit whatever narrative that you want." His old fiscal 2021 earning report links don't back up the narrative that Disney is losing money due to woke programming. I know that is what people want to believe, but Disney's 2022 earning reports don't show that either and Disney+ subscribers increased 38% compared to Ags4DaWin's 2021 total.
TBC, I'm not saying people should use their services, but the data clearly shows that people are NOT backing away from Disney.
