My rep Ronny Jackson can say whatever the hell he wants because he is in a district that typically goes about 75% republican. He doesn't have to worry about the wishy washy middle ground voters.

Lol my lost liberal friend tried to dunk this yesterday. In two years he's gone from warning me not to mention I was voting for Trump and that Biden is the real leader, to blaming Trump for Bidens missteps, to acting like he was never a fan of Biden, to now saying he was just saying things to get me riled up and that he didn't actually vote for Biden. He still hasn't figured out those calls only get made one way now. They're at the bottom of the barrel of trying to save face now.

Evidence?

I don't agree with him on every issue, but I do like his podcast. He discusses policy issues in depth with experts instead of current events, which is a nice change from most political podcasts. Some of the energy industry episodes are very informative.

A president has much more influence than a single representative or senator. He helps set the agenda.

Trump was awful when it comes to the 2A, and if he were president now he would likely be pushing for more gun control after Uvalde and Buffalo. He is an unprincipled populist to the core.

To be clear, this "concerned moderate" voted for Trump in 2020 and would do so again against any democrat.
