I'll chip in for that!!
WHY were they following a "Barricaded Suspect" protocol IF SHOTS WERE BEING FIRED WHILE MAMA BEAR WAS IN THE SCHOOL WITH POLICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Bronco6G said:Sort of...they were following a "Barricaded Suspect" protocol instead of an "Active Shooter" protocol. I disagree. This is a job that you should be doing because you want to improve your community. This is not a job you should do because you want a paycheck and just want to ride the clock until retirement.lb3 said:After BLM's assassination of 5 police officers in Dallas, the defund the police movement, and what happened to Chauvin, I won't blame cops for not wanting to put themselves at risk for an ungrateful public.Bronco6G said:Sadly this is true...I had a shocking conversation with a retired Supervising Border Patrol agent of 27 years. i went into the conversation expecting him to bash the police for doing nothing. His thought process was they don't get paid enough to go into a scene where they will knowingly take heavy fire, he went on to say that before all the Defund The Police narratives he had a different attitude.BrazosDog02 said:Welloiledmachine04 said:
How could she get in the school? But zero cops??
Because she had a child inside, the cops had their children at home.
there is a huge difference between putting your life on the line when you have a child in danger vs. putting your life on the line because you need a paycheck.
I've said it before, but the fact is that MOST cops are not suited for the jobs they signed up for. Most of them will never unholster their weapon outside of range day. Police officers, Home Depot Employees, Whataburger cashiers....all have people that are just punching a clock.
If you want security you must be willing to provide it yourself.

All she did was create more chaos for everyone trying to help. Civilians do not need to be interfering in the middle of an ongoing situation. This will end badly when an innocent person trying to help gets shot.
Terrible take. She saved her kids while the cops did nothing other than try to stop her. This woman is a hero.Agzonfire said:

If you were outside that door, and you heard more shots, you just stand there, and hide behind orders?Funky Winkerbean said:Who was in command and made that call?BusterAg said:WHY were they following a "Barricaded Suspect" protocol IF SHOTS WERE BEING FIRED WHILE MAMA BEAR WAS IN THE SCHOOL WITH POLICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Bronco6G said:Sort of...they were following a "Barricaded Suspect" protocol instead of an "Active Shooter" protocol. Well innocent people were being shot while authorities sat outside for over an hour...so it was already ending badly.Agzonfire said:

This raises an interesting question.... why couldn't local police departments vet 8-10 parents that worked close to a school, were interested in serving, deputize them, train them monthly as a "task" force, and utilize them in the event of a live shooter in a school. They would have no issues in going in a live shooter situation for their kids and in a few months be as well (or better) trained as most small town police.
Of course not, but it starts with who made that order. I swear I think government so over saturates employees that individual thought is squashed. Absolutely, if shots are still being fired the police on the scene should've adjusted accordingly. But the commander should fry.BusterAg said:If you were outside that door, and you heard more shots, you just stand there, and hide behind orders?Funky Winkerbean said:Who was in command and made that call?BusterAg said:WHY were they following a "Barricaded Suspect" protocol IF SHOTS WERE BEING FIRED WHILE MAMA BEAR WAS IN THE SCHOOL WITH POLICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Bronco6G said:Sort of...they were following a "Barricaded Suspect" protocol instead of an "Active Shooter" protocol. I can only speak for myself here, but I'd rather be shot and killed by police than go on living in a world without my daughter.

This is going to become more and more commonplace as good cops leave and get replaced by woke gun grabbing SJWs.Ags4DaWin said:lb3 said:After BLM's assassination of 5 police officers in Dallas, the defund the police movement, and what happened to Chauvin, I won't blame cops for not wanting to put themselves at risk for an ungrateful public.Bronco6G said:Sadly this is true...I had a shocking conversation with a retired Supervising Border Patrol agent of 27 years. i went into the conversation expecting him to bash the police for doing nothing. If ur too much of a chicken****, get out of the way of people who are there to get **** done.

The police were in the school and has been reported were escorting kids out of the school while the shooter was barricaded in the other classrooms. They just got to that area of the school when she showed up to her second sons' classroom.

Cops on the scene sat around thumb in their ass & tried to arrest a mom who went into school to save her kids….

You people make me sick with all this cop bashing, wtf do you think things are where they are today. I'm sure it's keyboard warriors like a lot of you are that approved of the Defund the police movement. People pushing for this agenda have no idea how much damage they are doing. This movement is absolutely giving criminals the mind set that nothing can happen to them. It's a GD tragedy. All this finger pointing is making making me sick. So many rumors and and accusations flying around on a daily basis. I hope those that are bashing the police never need the police, but at the end of the day, an officer will show up at your door in your time of need no matter the situation.
Things may have not been done right in Uvalde, but stop putting all cops in the same category. The officers on the ground that day bare the weight of what happened, it will haunt them for the rest of their lives.
Lives were lost, families destroyed and a city mourns. God bless every single one of them.
I agree. As stated numerous times on this forum this week, when seconds matter, the cops are minutes away.TexasRebel said:
Why not let the cops simply do what they do and pick up the pieces after the fact?
The only chance any of them had is an armed faculty/staff.
