Nothing against overweight women but it seems obvious they are not a lingerie retailer's core customer. Yet another feel good measure that has backfired on a clothing merchant.

I think it is more likely that when you are a 3x, you tend to go to baggy comfort from Walmart and not VS pricing

It seems to me outlets aimed at plus sized women do fine. It's when outlets like VS feel compelled to be inclusive is when they bleed money.

To do it right they should spin off a separate brand aimed at plus sized women. But they feel like they have to dilute the existing brand and make it more "inclusive."

Same goes with intellectual property. James Bond is a white heterosexual British male. To be inclusive you create a non-white homosexual Canadian female in his universe. You don't make a new James Bond with different characteristics. This just antagonizes the fan base.

What are they teaching kids in business schools these days? Obviously it's not how to turn a profit.
