With so many opinions such as background checks, citizenship, arming citizens, etc etc, this is to maybe get a better picture of the murderers, the response, and what may help reduce casualties in the future.

Left out elements such as motive, hate etc that are long term discussions.

Information is of mass shootings with at least 10 deaths, from the past 6 years. Taken from here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_shootings_in_the_United_States - Let me know if anything is inaccurate.

Agree. I could have put down motives like anti semitism, disgruntled employee, [enter whatever] supremacist, but then that bogs the discussion down into conspiracy theories I noticed.

He had a troubled past with numerous police incidents I saw this article referenced on twitter today and I'm assuming the shooter was one of the boys arrested. He shouldn't have been allowed to buy a gun.

Guy in Uvalde did not have body armor.

Orlando was a Muslim terror attack.

Santa Fe and Parkland, the nutcases should never have been able to get a gun. His father should have not had it accessible and a 17 year old cannot legally buy a gun.

El Paso was a Bernie bro pissed off at illegal immigration because it meant no UBI, Medicare for all, and every other socialist pipe dream.

Boulder, likely terrorist attack.

And this is just off the top of my head.

Of course you leave out a lot of important details because you're only purpose is to score some kind of leftist points.

And to top it off, you left out numerous others that get added to the statistics, but don't fit your agenda because it is drug/gang related, domestic violence, or one group disses another group of the same type and someone pulls a gun.

An important and relevant category is planned v/s unplanned.
Most mass shootings are usually planned. There are two notable exceptions - Sandy Hook, and Uvalde. Not sure about the others (latest ones)

Columbine, and VTech as well as most earlier shootings were very well planned. That has implications for how you handle shootings. Orlando, and Vegas were also planned.

Uvalde was definitely planned, but the loser didn't even carry it out the way he wanted. He was targeting the high school class that would have been visiting the school, but he got the day wrong.

There is no way that guy used an AR-15 with a bump stock. The rate of fire is much higher and it sounds very different.

I work with numerous veterans and every single one of them say it sounds like a M240B. One of them was even on the receiving end of an M240B when one of his unit's gunners opened fire on his squad by accident. Thankfully no one was hurt.

Whether it was or wasn't, I have no idea. I've seen a M240B once, but never shot one or heard it fired.

The shooter's birthday is May 17th, so based on the written date he couldn't be the older kid. Maybe the younger one?

Seems like this would be easy to determine. Any 7.62 rounds found at the shooting, or did they find 5.56/.223?

Looking at autopsy notes, I'm not a ballistics expert, but not too many 7.62 change direction inside the body. Seems like it would be more likely to be .223.

Let me know if you find anything further. It would be interesting indeed if it was a M240B
