Of course. Beto is now a Hero of the Left for confronting Abbott. Beto is probably also pulling in at least $1 Mill in donations for this stunt which is what it was really all about. The fact that it was a disgusting display of politics and deeply upset the families is not important and will be completely ignored.

Those of you wishing he had been arrested, man handled or abused need to realize that would have been bad. Exactly what he wanted. Thank goodness the locals didn't go overboard on being aggressive with him. Would have flipped the script in a bad way.

I hope this is his "I have a scream" moment and like Dean, his political career comes to a timely end. Today is what desperation looks like.

The whole thing was such a lame and calculated political stunt and it came across as phony and tasteless, regardless of what the fawning press says.

Note how all the headlines frame it as him "confronting" Abbott. He had no legitimate reason to be there. He crashed a non-political news briefing from the officials, while a community is mourning incredible loss, for his own political agenda and relevance.

I'm so ready for this bag to leave the stage.
