Almost every product we use has a petroleum product used or included in it's production. That includes any plastic packaging or the ink on the label.

Food production is very dependent on petroleum. From fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, tractor/harvester fuel, cleaning/milling/prep, freezing/cooling/cooking, packaging, to the truck that hauls it to market, all use petroleum products.

If they decide to ban petroleum products then I am heading elsewhere because everyone will die here.

I can't begin to imagine running tractors, combines, grain trucks, and cattle trucks on electricity.
