Interesting that no one wants to live in the seventh largest city in the US...Charpie said:
As much as I love San Antonio, no one wants to live there. Companies come to Austin because this is where the talent is. Kids graduate from tu and A&M with degrees in Computer Science and are banking cash here in Austin.

And yet he moved there anyway?
You are correct on that.Quote:
My theory is that most of these capitalists enjoy liberal scenery and such but hate their business policies. That's why so many Californians move to Austin. Austin is basically california-lite. Lotta social liberals but still has decent business incentives

It's like here in San Antonio. A lot of liberal "elites" live in alamo heights; Terrell hills. Alamo heights has a very trendy urban liberal vibe. Most conservatives are out in the burbs near canyon lake or Bulverde

I'm more pissed nobody goes to San Antonio, it's always Austin
Same reason they don't build factories in the RGV, just slightly less so. But you will never catch a Fortune 500 company saying it out loud

You said San Antonians basically live in Mexico City, have you ever been to Mexico or the corrupt parts. There is crime here no doubt, but I have never worried about being kidnapped and held for ransom. Hispanics don't equal cartel
