Softball pitchers tend to either be very large, or very tall/lanky as that's helps impart momentum to the ball.
With how they pitch, arm strength is less of a factor and arm or hip speed is.

Interesting thread. My personal observation at various public stores, events, etc. is that too many people are clearly over weight. I could certainly lose 10 pound myself. However, America is over weight for sure.

In viewing the so called asylum seekers coming across the border 90 % of the female adults are over weight. For some reason the horrible conditions in their home country allows them to "walk" 1000 to 1500 miles and still look over weight forging the Rio Grande River.
