There's nothing wrong with wanting more realistic models, but the land whales being pushed as "beautiful" are as far from realistic as the current barbies. They're disgustingly fat and a donut away from hypertension, diabetes, and chronic joint pain if they don't already have them. Nothing about that should be celebrated.

Honestly, I have no problem with models and clothing lines that cater to fat people. There are tons of fat people who need clothes, and targeting them as a demographic is just good capitalism. I actually don't even care if businesses, in the course of targeting the fat demographic, have taglines to make said fat people feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin. If I was trying to sell something g specifically designed for fat people, I would do the exact same thing.

But promoting the idea that being fat is somehow a good, healthy thing within academia, medicine, and politics is just ****ing insane. Complete wacko bull****

This.

I'm 6'6.5" and 345 lbs. I'm a fatty. I'm never sick, but would never consider myself "healthy", as a whole. Nor do I wish others to be fat. Luckily, my frame is built as such tonot make me a blob, but I'm VERY large.

This delusion of the left...this newest one...is idiotic.

This is all a set-up for the great recession and food shortage. Fat will be a sign of opulence and wealth. Thin people are poor people. Thus it will be fashionable to be fat.

Decades and decades and decades of scientific proof that being obese is the number one cause of health problems a person can have.

Only for liberal progressives to declare in 2022 "nuh uh". And the whole world falls in line.

Sound familiar?

Yeah, but you can't trust "that kind" of science - the one that has actual data to back it up. You have to trust science backed by opinion.

I put on a few as a white belt but as a black belt I was fit, kind of thin really. Not that uncommon, but there weren't really any big overweight types with a couple of rare exceptions because we still had fitness standards, still had to at least pass the army PT test if you were D&C.

Well, the first if my people to Texas emigrated from Prussia to the Republic of Mexico, so maybe?

In reality, a mixture of various flavors of kraut from all over central Europe and Anglo by way of Tennessee.

Enough squarehead to probably pass for Sgt. Schultz once I'm old and fat enough.

Promoting the idea that it's fashionable to be fat is just the latest example of nonsense woke ideas from liberals. There's nothing wrong with wanting more realistic size models, but promoting obesity and unhealthy lifestyle is extremely ridiculous. I applaud Canadian Dr. Jordan Peterson for tweeting, "Sorry. Not beautiful. And no amount of authoritarian tolerance is going to change that." He knew he would receive a bombardment of insults for speaking the truth that woke lunatics refuse to accept.

Cosmopolitan one of many leading the way on Fat is Healthy.

https://nypost.com/2022/05/19/talk-about-the-deadly-obesity-risks-fat-chance/
Quote:

Talk about deadly obesity risks in America? Fat chance
By Douglas Murray May 19, 2022 9:02pm

Is it fun to be fat? Thats what Cosmopolitan magazine claimed in February 2021. That month's cover was of a morbidly obese woman looking cheerful while attempting some acrobatics. The headline: "This is healthy! 11 women on why wellness doesn't have to be one size fits all."

The timing could hardly have been worse. After all, this was in a period when the Coronavirus was leading to lockdowns around the world. And one thing we knew very early about the virus was that one of the main factors that lead to hospitalizations and even death was if the patient was fat. Almost nothing in the often confusing COVID era was ever as clear as this. Nearly 80% of Americans who were hospitalized with COVID were obese. And just as being obese put you at special risk from the virus, so losing weight lessened your chances of being hospitalized.

But you can tell a lot about a society by what it will not say. And through the whole of the last two years almost nobody in any position of authority dared issue any public lessons about this.

By contrast, there was very scant evidence that a little cloth mask could save you from the virus. Yet we were all forced to wear them. There was no evidence that children were at any risk from the virus. Yet we shut all the schools. But when it came to the question of obesity and the virus nobody dared say anything.

Most likely because America is the fattest country in the western world.
