My inner 13 year old really wants to go somewhere with this typo. I mean, if his wife and mom were pumped by another fan, even a 15yr old kid, I could see that upsetting CP.

But until more evidence comes out, put me squarely in the camp that it's a sporting event where seats and aisles are close together. Plenty of opportunity to bump into someone, lean on them, or even outright grab someone. If you're walking/squeezing in the aisle it's easy to lose balance or footing and potentially go so far as to grab an arm or shoulder to keep from falling. So for now I think this is a story about a pro-athelete with an inflated sense of entitlement screaming at a 15yr old kid.

I've been joking for much of this thread - I think fan behavior absolutely sucks. I don't know what happened in this incident, but it does not seem like a playoff game on the road is a great environment for opposing fans in general.

I went back and found your post, watched the video on a 4k monitor and still never saw what had CP screaming at a 15yr old kid.

Did some kid tap her on the shoulder? Maybe. Was it wrong? I don't know the circumstances but for the sake of argument, it was wrong. Does that mean the kid should be ejected from the game? Seems to me a bit excessive for tapping someone on the shoulder. Does it justify CP to start screaming at the kid to the point of appearing to need to be physically restrained? Heck no!

If you watched the video, the kid wasnt ejected for touching CP3's mom. He was ejected because he snuck in people who didn't have tickets to be there. Also, the kid sent out an apology, so he clearly thinks he did something wrong.

That said, I'm not sure CP3 needed to be yelling at him. Although, the video also said that CP3's mom was sitting next to the kid, but moved because he was being so obnoxious, so it sounds like this was probably something brewing all game.

I think they were a lot better ways to handle that. If he looked at the kid and told him "you need to mind your manners" probably would've been a better reply rather than implying to threaten the kid seemingly with violence.

And sadly, if this been a white basketball player and a black teenager I think the replies and outcome would've been much different. I think we would be seeing a social backlash right now.

I also think if it had been a black teenager he would not of reacted that harshly. But honestly we'll never know.

Now if the kid was really being a **** there's nothing wrong with calling him out, but I just think the basketball player could have chosen his words better. Also did he just barely touch them or push them or try to harm?

He probably sent out an apology because he has had his life threatened by loons on social media. But if he did do something wrong and that's good to apologize. Hopefully this will have a positive outcome.

My question is if the kid was being an ass, why wouldn't the people around him or Paul's family take care of that or get the ushers to take care of it. There was no reason for Paul to have gotten involved.
