If Chief Justice Roberts cares about the institution, he’ll come out tomorrow and say “Sorry to the innocent, but every single clerk is fired.”

Be serious. You really expect a liberal justice to follow decorum?Aggie Jurist said:
If this is true, one of the liberal justices has violated a sacred canon and leaked this in an effort to pressure someone to change their vote - like Roberts did in NFIB v. Sebelius.
Can you imagine the Democrat civil war if that happened?CanyonAg77 said:

Right. But question is, did Reps just shoot their wad for this when they were gaining so much political capital for midterms? This could keep a lot of R votes home and D votes that don't usually show up, to show up.
What good is political capital if you're not willing to trade it to stop the wholesale slaughter of infants?
I want to save political capital for things that will actually make the country better. Ending federal dept of Education. Fed Reserve. Fed income tax.
Right now, a lot of public school teachers are putting together the most insane and deranged lesson plan for first and second graders tomorrow

How can overturning Roe v Wade be an assault on women’s rights if you can’t tell us what a woman is?

long time till Election Day, lots of inflation to come, and if the Fed gets its way, millions in job losses. This issue will matter for about two months, then the complete economic destruction takes center stageBallerStaf2003 said:
Will be interesting to see how this mobilizes voters.
I didn't think the country could be more polarized but here we are.

Get ready for a renewed energy from the Dems this November.
This #SCOTUS leak is a last-ditch effort by the Left to stir up yet another culture war in the hopes it can save them from utter obliteration in November. If it’s not BLM, it’s Roe v Wade. That’s all that’s in the toolbox.

You could log off right now. You could put the phone down, go to bed, and rest in peace from this dumpster fire.

This. Sadly.
This will energize legions of women who were likely feeling apathetic and were going to sit the next election or two out. When the "Texas Taliban" (lol) announced you only had six weeks to kill your child, I could not believe some of the "conservative Christian" women on my feed that came out shrieking.
This is the right move, but worries it is going to backfire in terms of political momentum we had going.

Texas has a trigger clause, that if Roe goes down, will ban abortion in all cases except to preserve the life of the mother and makes it a criminal offense punishable by life in prison if it results in the loss of a baby's life.Agthatbuilds said:Proc92 said:
So, it's up to state legislatures to do what their citizens want via legislative process. Does anyone think abortion will be banned entirely in any state? Won't blue states allow them like now or even more so? Won't red states allow them, just limited somewhat? What is the crisis?
Each state will do what they want. Cali and New York and the like will allow abortion up to post birth. Oklahoma and Mississippi will ban it altogether. Texas will probably keep what it has and determine a date by which one must get an abortion.
Organizations will pop up paying for people from red states to go to blue states. Businesses will pay for it. These things are already happening
Agreed. This is tragic.tremble said:
