I think it was already on the way out before Ginsberg died. It has reached a point where it's untenable to allow this federal overreach to continue any longer. Nothing in the Constitution allows such a drastic dictate from the feds, the 10th amendment tells us exactly where this authority belongs.

Maybe it was breyer who leaked it

Regardless of one's opinion on the morality of abortion, it was amongst the worst court opinions in US history. There is absolutely nothing in the US Constitution that demands legal abortion be the law across the land. This decision changed the relationship between citizen, state, and federal government beyond any expected measure. Almost 50 years later now, the ramifications are immeasurable on the creep of the power of the federal government over the state and citizen. Citizens through their elected representatives became helpless in the face of the power of the appointed courts on issues the federal government should not have been involved in. It was such a damaging legal opinion that people both sides of the moral issue should be able to recognize and cheer when it is gone.

All GOP run states need to get started on full abortion bans with zero exceptions ASAP. If it's not preventative contraception then it's a felony. Bans on all red state residents from leaving the state to have one. Mandatory minimum prison time for all of the above.

Yep, this is the nuclear option. The dems pushed the button now but i don't think they are gonna gain voters out of this. Perhaps motivate some of those who would have otherwise stayed home

I'm sure that's how it was done - with with the acquiescence of the Justice they work for.

If true (which is questionable at best), I'm sure it was leaked by a clerk at the direction/with knowledge of one of the liberal justices to create political pressure to change a vote. Because If not approved, likely easy to find out who did it and they would get fired.

Needs to be an immediate investigation into who leaked this.

This is extremely shortsighted & would violate the Commerce Clause. Instead, don't do anything to a "Red Resident" needing an abortion; rather, encourage them to move to CA or NY and establish residence there so they can avail themselves to an abortion. In so doing, there's no way the Dems can turn TX, FL, OH, AZ, PA, etc blue in future elections.

A conservative Justice/clerk never leaked Roe, Casey, Sibelius, etc.

This is a jaw-dropping breaking of norms that will never get put back in the bottle.
