Twitter is insanely biased and manipulated and has taken it to further and further extremes in the last year especially. I really can't even imagine just how corrupted and bad it really is in terms of bots and foreign influence, nothing would surprise me. The good news is they have gone too far and made it too obvious. Once Musk gets control it's going to be really interesting to find out how deep the rabbit hole it all went, right now I just look on Twitter as so many leftists are desperately trying to maintain control and have gone completely off the rails. Every looney Leftist conspiracy or theory Trends no matter how ridiculous and it doesn't matter how many people are actually tweeting it.

I took a break for over a year from Twitter but have come back to since Musk is making a move. It's just amazing to see how much worse it has gotten, they don't even try to be subtle or hide it anymore. In the end though it's an amazing aggregator of news and information, you just have to ignore a lot of garbage. If Musk can take it over and just make it a true free speech platform it will be fantastic.

Highly visible Data on views and rating are what has made social media damaging socially. It seriously affects the mental well being of a large portion of the population, particularly females per the data, but it is also necessary to monetize the technology by giving indication of relative economic value and providing data to mine.

I don't use it for opinions other than from people I am actually interested in, it is valuable though as an instant way to get news. The comments are like reading the worst parts of Reddit though. The site has great potential if Musk can clean it up. I certainly DGAF about celebrities and have never understood the obsession going back before the internet, that crap is like reading a Gossip magazine when you are checking out of the grocery store.

It's a biased filter, not an aggregator

Not sure if it's Twitter's algorithms, their mods, or just the fact that liberals report everything not aligning to their deranged worldview. But the few times I have made an account, I would be shadow banned or have my comments pushed into the "other" bin never to be seen by others. Usually within a matter of weeks.

My current favorite thing on Twitter is that since I follow LibsofTikTok they are shadowbanning them but they are putting Occupy Democrats in my feed because "LoTT also follows"...

I mean do they really think this works? It just shows how desperate and stupid they are.

The great reset is well underway. The shenanigans going on in china and probably russia/Ukraine are part of it. Anyone who attempts to push back against "correct thought" is being censored and attacked.

If you are on twitter, you should be blocking every company advertising on the platform (trust me you won't be missing anything). You should also be making twitter the most toxic pathetic social media platform to exist. Its run by trashcan humans for trashcan humans. They are your enemy. Treat them the same as they treat you.
