I'm going to France in May. I see That They dropped the vaccination pass that they were requiring you to go to a pharmacy to get after arrival, but the AA app says I still need to provide proof of vaccination, So does that mean some AA employee is going to do the check before I get on the plane, or will French customs do it on arrival (They weren't doing the vaccine pass, so it seems weird that they would take on that burden now).

Send me a DM or come see me at next baseball game. My daughter is going to France for study abroad in late May and UT is coaching the kids on the requirements in great detail. We're going over mid-June and we've basically yielded all Covid research to her and the university.
The federal government was never meant to be this powerful.

United airlines

Did you get a negative test in the last 24 hours?

Yes tested negative. this was all a technicality about my vaccination timing being too long ago and now I'm flying as unvaccinated in order to check in for the flight. Another poster indicated this may signal a policy that United may be implementing in the future regarding what they considered vaccinated… be on the lookout as this appears to be a sign of things to come.

Glad it worked out. Thanks for the update

It does look like some places have a 14/-270 day requirement (at least 14 days ago but jo more than 270). The 14 day requirement is, I think, commonly known. Had not known about the 270; and it does make me wonder if US will require the 270 day limit on non-citizens (and you stumbled upon the glitch).

https://www.skyscanner.net/news/covid-vaccine-certificate

" Many EU countries are now requiring anyone who had their final vaccine dose more than 270 days ago to have a booster to enter the country. If fully vaccinated more than 270 days ago, you must've had a booster shot at least 14 days before travelling to Austria, The Netherlands, France, Spain, Denmark, Portugal, and Greece."

270 day booster. Yeah, that's gonna be a no from me. It's like asking people to make sure they got the 2019-20 season flu shot in the last 9 months. Any other useless chemicals you'd like me to inject into my body before visiting your country?

Yep. Just about everything that has been required regarding covid is just as dumb

Hope it is.....can't wait to watch the airlines take a big giant biden in their pants after trying to implement such ridiculousness!

The number of "currently boosted" frequent flyers is pretty low. Most "boosted" people are either older and only flying for pleasure on occasion or are still hunkered down in their home. That policy would decimate United's revenue. They'd also need a huge number of customer service agents to deal with the blowback.

Less than half of "fully vaccinated" Americans have been "boosted." 2/3 of "fully vaccinated" people over 65 have been boosted. So I'm sure someone else can quickly do the math to determine the rate of "boosted" working age Americans.

I hope United tries this!

The hilarity is that United is now letting unvaccinated pilots fly.
apparently not home from Costa Rica...maybe that's why OP is stuck. No one to fly him home.

Pro tip…don't put your vaccine status or test results in these airline systems (ie United app or VeriFLY). Multiple international trips over the past 2 yrs and haven't had these issues at all.

Arrived at IAH international terminal last week and our entire plane was screened and asked if we were vaccinated as we deboarded….I told the lady to **** off and kept walking.

Awesome, I land at IAH and can't wait for someone to ask me. BTW who is asking? Airlines or customs? TIA

So this is about the time last year that people who really wanted vaccines were getting them. Am I to take it from this discussion that those jabs will be considered "expired" after a year?

Yes. Expect "fully vaccinated" to mean current booster within 6-9 months and anything less will be treated as unvaccinated. Already treated this way some places. This is what those even tacitly okay with mandates are missing; many of them ignorantly don't realize this is only going to grow and they will soon again be considered a member of the dirty unvaccinated, with the only recourse being to get more shots for a form of virus that no longer exists

No one is getting the fourth booster and the gov won't even report on the stats when it's rolled out because they are going to be so low. Other than nursing homes and super looney white libs, the covid jabs are finished.

Then Biden administration has a problem with the soldiers that were issued general discharge under less than honorable conditions if they stop the boosters.

They had vests labeled health department and were literally at the end of the jetway right when you get off the plane. I wouldn't be surprised if this is something Linda Hidalgo is wasting our tax money on…..more than likely Houston health department cronies.
