I hear '1812 overture' tried to be passed off as our patriotic music during fire work shows all the time.
Very odd how many 4th of July shows use it with fireworks. Heck, I was in charge of firing a battery of howitzers (blanks) with 1812 Overture for our base 4th of July festival while I was in Korea

BIL works there so I have a few bottles lying around.
But at least we still have Rachmaninoff, or at least his body. He is buried in NY State. Russia wanted his body back several years ago but we declined.
