This quite literally never happened to Trump. Declining a US President in this kind of dismissive manner is a sign that no one respects American leadership as people to be counted on to do anything at all beyond looking like bumbling fools.

This isn't just Carter leave bad, this is up there with worst in history bad. In 2 years, we went from having a president countries were afraid of yet respected, who got freaking North and South Korea to talk to the brink of WWIII where everyone dismisses all US leadership because they care more about promoting global social justice than anything else.

I though Biden's domestic policy was terrible but some how, some way his foreign policy is even worse. This is pathetic on a scale I can scarcely imagine.

I guess the Saudis told Biden they'd "circle back around"
