3d Printers:

Prusa made in the Czech Republic https://www.prusa3d.com/

More expensive but easier to use and excellent quality.

Seven and three are ten, not only now, but forever. There has never been a time when seven and three were not ten, nor will there ever be a time when they are not ten. Therefore, I have said that the truth of number is incorruptible and common to all who think. — St. Augustine

Try walking around Home Depot or Lowe's. It's insane how much we rely on those effers. You'll have a hard time finding anything not made in China.

Manufacturing is slowly slipping to other countries, but not fast enough.

Red Land Cotton makes towels, washcloths, sheets, blankets in Alabama from American grown cotton. www.redlandcotton.com

Texas Jeans- American made jeans made in North Carolina. Good prices. They can also do custom inseams.

Peacock Alley makes towels, sheets, robes, blankets in their Dallas warehouse. Most of the fabric comes from Portugal.

Vermont Country store website has a section of Made in USA goods.

Also, search for Made in USA website stores online.

There is an actual Made in America retail store in New York state.

This is a great thread and should be updated daily. I've been trying to buy more American made or at least not made in China things lately. I recently bought a Big Green Egg which is manufactured in Mexico rather than the Kamado Joe which is made in China and is about $400 cheaper.

American clothes are tough. Here are two companies that I've heard about, but haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet.

American Giant - Heard the CEO on the Glenn Beck podcast. He never stated his political beliefs and that's fine by me. He talked a lot about how they have been able to mitigate the supply chain issues because everything the use is made in America. Looks like their manufacturing plant is in El Paso too.

Origin Maine - Jocko's clothing company. Not too familiar with them other than what he's talked about on Rogan in the past. Plan to buy a pair of jeans soon to give them a try.
I grew up in a factory town that was decimated by CEOs shipping manufacturing jobs overseas. If someone is manufacturing their product in the USA that tells me all I need to know about them and their company. I could care less what political party they belong to. They have made the choice to put our country first and create jobs at home for Americans.

This is a great idea. The less people rely on China and reward them economically, the better.

Erin and Ben Napier of the HGTV Hometown show only sell American made products in their Laurel, MS store and online. He even had a furniture deal early in their success that he turned down because it was not going to be produced in the USA. They now have furniture available Made in the USA. This is basically a 180 of what Chip and Joanna Gaines have done.

Rogue Fitness - bars, plates, racks, etc.

Costs a bit more than China knock-offs, but I have never been disappointed buying made in the USA from them. Quality has always been evident.

Texas Jeans made in NC seems like false advertising, but I'll check them out since I haven't bought pants in over 5 years.

My sheets a Peacock Alley. So pricy, but good enough for my dog to sleep in.

We only buy from the Peacock Alley outlet store and wait for their twice a year sales. Helps save a little money.

ETA- My teen sons say my Texas jeans are uncool, but who cares for $30.

Couple of items we gave as Christmas gifts made in Rockwall and Garland area.

Countless scents. They also make the tarts for warmers. Walk-in and the owners are typically behind the counter.

I think I've posted these before but bear repeating.

We've had Warther knives for years. Handmade in Dover, OH.

Stone County Ironworks
We have lamps, tables, queen size bed, chandelier, hooks and a couple other items. Not cheap but very solid, well crafted heirloom products hand forged in Arkansas.

Outdoor Furniture
Ran across these guys at the TX State Fair a few years back. Bought 3 bar stools for the kitchen bar but since they are outdoor furniture we take them outside if needed for extra pool seating. Very solid, quality stuff made in MN.

I have been doing research on all new purchases to avoid products made in China in favor of supporting American and our ally's manufacturing locations. Things can be very difficult to find, so I figured an ongoing thread to help each other share info on good products could be useful.

This one has been tricky- I'm looking for a battery station with about 720 Wh capacity.

Thread for products not made in China

Is that for parts of products that are not made in China?

e.g. nails

"21% of the nails used in the U.S. were produced in the U.S.; the rest were imported. Five countries account for 2/3 of the nails imported by the U.S.: China (28%), Taiwan (16%), Korea (11%), UAE (6%), and Vietnam (6%).."

Not to purloin Grapesoda's cause, but cannabis of high enough quality sold in states wherein it's legal.

Oklahoma appears to be ground zero.

https://news.yahoo.com/oklahoma-became-marijuana-boom-state-132940151.html

Quote:

. . .
Ever since the state legalized medical marijuana three years ago, Oklahoma has become one of the easiest places in the United States to launch a weed business. The state now boasts more retail cannabis stores than Colorado, Oregon and Washington combined. In October, it eclipsed California as the state with the largest number of licensed cannabis farms, which now number more than 9,000, despite a population only a tenth of California's.

The growth is all the more remarkable given that the state has not legalized recreational use of marijuana. But with fairly lax rules on who can obtain a medical card, about 10% of Oklahoma's nearly 4 million residents have one, by far the most of any other state.

Fueled by low barriers for entry and a fairly hands-off approach by state officials, weed entrepreneurs have poured into Oklahoma from around the United States. It costs just $2,500 to get started, compared to $100,000 or more across the state line in Arkansas. And Oklahoma, a state that has long had a tough-on-crime stance, has no cap on how many dispensaries can sell marijuana, the number of cannabis farms or even how much each farm can produce.
. . .
"It smells like weed all the damn time, even right here in our offices," said Haskell County Sheriff Tim Turner, a Republican, pointing toward one of the dozens of licensed marijuana farms in his county, this one across the road from his department. "We're one of the reddest states around, but we have the country's most permissive marijuana laws."
