I grew up in a factory town that was decimated by CEOs shipping manufacturing jobs overseas. If someone is manufacturing their product in the USA that tells me all I need to know about them and their company. I could care less what political party they belong to. They have made the choice to put our country first and create jobs at home for Americans.MavsAg said:
This is a great thread and should be updated daily. I've been trying to buy more American made or at least not made in China things lately. I recently bought a Big Green Egg which is manufactured in Mexico rather than the Kamado Joe which is made in China and is about $400 cheaper.
American clothes are tough. Here are two companies that I've heard about, but haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet.
American Giant - Heard the CEO on the Glenn Beck podcast. He never stated his political beliefs and that's fine by me. He talked a lot about how they have been able to mitigate the supply chain issues because everything the use is made in America. Looks like their manufacturing plant is in El Paso too.
Origin Maine - Jocko's clothing company. Not too familiar with them other than what he's talked about on Rogan in the past. Plan to buy a pair of jeans soon to give them a try.

This is a great idea. The less people rely on China and reward them economically, the better.
WOOOOOW those look like something my Paw-Paw would have worn but at a price that my wife's bougie best friend would consider normalPooDoo said:rocky the dog said:

Texas Jeans- American made jeans made in North Carolina. Good prices. They can also do custom inseams.
Peacock Alley makes towels, sheets, robes, blankets in their Dallas warehouse. Most of the fabric comes from Portugal.

We only buy from the Peacock Alley outlet store and wait for their twice a year sales. Helps save a little money.LupinusTexensis said:murphyag said:

Texas Jeans made in NC seems like false advertising, but I'll check them out since I haven't bought pants in over 5 years.
My sheets a Peacock Alley. So pricy, but good enough for my dog to sleep in.

ETA- My teen sons say my Texas jeans are uncool, but who cares for $30.

I have been doing research on all new purchases to avoid products made in China in favor of supporting American and our ally's manufacturing locations. Things can be very difficult to find, so I figured an ongoing thread to help each other share info on good products could be useful.
This one has been tricky- I'm looking for a battery station with about 720 Wh capacity.

Outdoor Furniture
Ran across these guys at the TX State Fair a few years back. Bought 3 bar stools for the kitchen bar but since they are outdoor furniture we take them outside if needed for extra pool seating. Very solid, quality stuff made in MN.

Ever since the state legalized medical marijuana three years ago, Oklahoma has become one of the easiest places in the United States to launch a weed business. The state now boasts more retail cannabis stores than Colorado, Oregon and Washington combined. In October, it eclipsed California as the state with the largest number of licensed cannabis farms, which now number more than 9,000, despite a population only a tenth of California's.
The growth is all the more remarkable given that the state has not legalized recreational use of marijuana. But with fairly lax rules on who can obtain a medical card, about 10% of Oklahoma's nearly 4 million residents have one, by far the most of any other state.
Fueled by low barriers for entry and a fairly hands-off approach by state officials, weed entrepreneurs have poured into Oklahoma from around the United States. It costs just $2,500 to get started, compared to $100,000 or more across the state line in Arkansas. And Oklahoma, a state that has long had a tough-on-crime stance, has no cap on how many dispensaries can sell marijuana, the number of cannabis farms or even how much each farm can produce.
. . .
"It smells like weed all the damn time, even right here in our offices," said Haskell County Sheriff Tim Turner, a Republican, pointing toward one of the dozens of licensed marijuana farms in his county, this one across the road from his department. "We're one of the reddest states around, but we have the country's most permissive marijuana laws."

Not to purloin Grapesoda's cause, but cannabis of high enough quality sold in states wherein it's legal.
Oklahoma appears to be ground zero.
