The federal mandate is stupid and nobody should support it. Just use the correct terminology. That's what they are probably kicking you off. Just stick with the fact it doesn't stop the spread like our benevolent overlords promised.

There is zero upside to posting political content on LinkedIn, particularly conservative content. Unlimited downside. Not sure why anyone does it TBH.

Wasn't really because of the liberal creep, but can see that too.

The whole platform just seemed to become dominated by the self absorbed promoters. Lost value for me.

Nobody should be posting anything on LinkedIn. It's a networking site, not a discussion forum.

If you don't want to get kicked out, yes. If you want to protect your career, no.

Thanks to those with respectful feedback. I retired last month due to the company mandate gun to my head and refused to get the "vaccine". My body my choice right? But I'm grateful to have been in a place in my career where I could walk away and get retirement benefits, comp plan payouts, etc.

Therefore I don't care who sees my comments on LinkedIn but can respect why most wouldn't post on controversial subjects. It's a shame we have to fear free speech unless it's a liberal viewpoint or you post anonymously.

Thats rough, I own a small business and being kicked off of Linkedin would be a massive problem. That is the reason i never engage in any type of discussion, just strickly business.

The contents on LI depends heavily on who you follow and what industry you are in. I have unfollowed most of my friends in tech, recruiting, and hr because it is a bunch of rancid sjw, self promoting ******bag life coaches, and pronoun worshippers that end up in my feed. It is a good networking tool but certainly not a place for political or COVID discussion. Use at your discretion.

I disagree that it's a good networking tool. 99% of friend requests I get are people I don't know. Most of the time they are just trying to sell me something.

It really is just work Facebook and it's super fake.

Also facts.

I like browsing LinkedIn quite a lot. I rarely post or comment, but give other posts an occasional like.

The feed content is 90% from people I am connected with. If it gets annoying I select to no longer see content from specific users.

I am connected to a few of executives at smaller tech companies and they do post interesting updates. I also see a lot of other interesting posts people liked in my network.

You have a lot of control over what displays in your feed, that's why I like it. It's overall more professional, less immature, less political, and more relevant to my interests.
