This restaurant opened about 6 months before Covid if I remember correctly. Met up with my cousin and a buddy there right before the lockdowns and it was doing very well. Coincidentally, most of our discussion over dinner and beers centered around how serious we thought the virus was and whether we would see any societal interruptions here. We all agreed that there likely wouldn't be a significant response to it in America, then boom, not even a week later, we are all told not to come into the office.
I bet the insane reaction to Covid redpilled the hell out of ownership if I had to guess. This is a gathering place, meant for large groups and children...a place to have a few beers and some grub with friends while the kids run around...it's not really geared to be a takeout place. Their business model could not have been worse suited for a world of lockdowns.

I honestly thought there was no way they would make it through the pandemic and am glad to be proven wrong. Can't imagine how tough that must have been, having only just a few months of operations under your belt before being forced to shut down and/or severely alter your business model.
