I bet Bill Clinton will make you eat those words. I am sure he will come up with another pair of used underwear to help the SA. Maybe even two !!A Net Full of Jello said:
Maybe all those self-loathing white liberals will pick up the slack. They love to preach about generosity and taking care of others. Surely they will be leading that charge, right?

I usually "Rock the Kettle" and perform out front acoustically for a couple days each Christmas season. I emailed them a couple weeks ago after this came out that they are racist, should apologize fully, terminate anyone involved in race based hate - and then I'll be happy to come back and make them money for free.

It's a shame that families have to suffer because of the actions of others. I'm sure they couldn't care less who was giving or why, or why the help stopped.
So much for the Christmas spirit, or Jesus being the reason for the season.
It is a shame that people have to "investigate" "charitable" organizations, but that is reality these days. So many are bloated in their "overhead" vs "giving" aspect. No Spin Ag said:C@LAg said:they are a bloated , bureaucratic org with too much admin costs. No Spin Ag said:

many, much better local charities around if you look for them.
I will, and thanks for the idea. What gets me about them is they've always seemed to want to cater to one group of people to get donations from, and now are wanting to switch , without taking into consideration of how they should do it to not alienate the ones who've been with them forever.
Honestly I'm too the point where I'll just look for people in need on my own and help them out that way because it seems like every organization has an angle and a political leaning, and the truly needy shouldn't be affected by the idiocy of a few.
This is the progressive's method for corrupting everything. Don't just stop at religious institutions; schools, corporations, sports leagues, charities, everything. Infiltrate and corrupt. Like a disease.Ribeye-Rare said:
Can you see any parallels in other areas today? I can -- namely many of our old denominational Christian churches and also our country itself. I'd like to think some of these are fixable, but maybe I'm naive.
If it was a mistake as you say, they would have already apologized. Instead they just claimed that all of us racists simply misunderstood their document. No doubt there are many good people involved with the organization. But so long as their leadership puts out hateful, racist, anti-white material they won't see another dime from me. Lots of other good local charities I can shift my donations towards.Spaceball 1 said:

The RACIST dicks can suck on one for all I care. You put out this crap about CRT and telling white people to bend over backwards to somehow lie and admit we're all evil and racist? What the hell did you expect to happen you self destructing ****holes? White people are probably your biggest donors and you piss in our faces and expect us to appreciate the attention?ElKabong said:

Salvation Army issues alert, donations have dropped substantially
"There are many reasons why both financial and toy donations are down this year, not the least of which is likely pandemic fatigue and concerns about employment and the future," said Colonel Cindy Foley of the NW Salvation Army Division. "We are actually trying to provide food, shelter, toys and clothing to double the number of families we served last Christmas, and in the midst of the growing need we are seeing fewer people donating at our virtual and physical kettles."
Not only is the nonprofit organization short on donations, they also are in desperate need of bell ringers to staff the red kettles seen at businesses around the country.
"The situation is dire, and we are asking our generous supporters in the region to donate to the virtual Northwest Red Kettle as well as make donations at every physical kettle in whatever way you can."
Same here. I have donated whenever I run across one of the kettles. No more. NO MORE.zoneag said:If it was a mistake as you say, they would have already apologized. Because a lot of leftists are employees of those organizations.
Screw them. They are not the same organization as they were back in the day. They're just living off the name and have a bunch of young communists working for them.Spaceball 1 said:

Maybe they should apologize to all of us for their racist group-think. Then and only then would I remotely consider giving them another dime.

Yea me neither. I usually drop quite a bit of loose change and bills for about a month into those red cans. Not this year.StonewallAggieDEFENSE said:

The Salvation Army does great work.
What is crazy about this is that the ideology which drove their leadership to issue the woke manifesto will view a drop in donations as proof they were right. You see, objecting to CRT is evidence of white fragility, and white fragility is evidence of racism.
It's a fun circle. You call me racist. If I object you laugh, "Ha! See! Racist!"
