I've always wondered to what degree a few woke hires can ruin an otherwise good organization's reputation. Maybe Salvation Army is rotten to the core, or maybe they just picked the wrong people to represent them.

I think it sneaks up on them with little or no warning pretty often.

I'm over these big bloated non profits. My money goes to the most local things that help as possible. Church ministries to community. Star of Hope. A couple of other things that help people in need in Houston and nothing like good ole word of mouth helping people in immediate need.

Hopefully, it's the latter and they will repent and come back stronger.

I doubt it though. Too connected to corporate America.

I try to be a forgiving person. If it had just been instituting the initial program, I could chalk that up to being infiltrated and caught off guard. But, then came the double-down, non-apology apology, and finally the deception about why their donations have dropped off a cliff.

That's too much to overlook, it's intentional and there doesn't appear to be any leadership left to stop it. They've crossed a line for me and there is no coming back without highly visible, public reversal of wokeness.

The Salvation Army is good people, they made a mistake. As the great great grandson of William McIntyre I thought I'd post the origin story of the Kettle

Was the internal survey a mistake, too?

Seems to be an awful lot of "mistakes" happening.

I tend to agree. Always had a soft spot for them because my tough as nails panhandle grandmother was a member and bell ringer.

I also agree that there seems to be A LOT of mistakes happening here.

Until I see that they are actively working to remove the cancer, I am on pause.

It is time for the senior leadership to lead.

Given some of the crap I've watched that organization do locally( that has nothing to do with social or religious issues), the current crap doesn't have as much to do with it as yall might think. I know a lot of people, myself included, that stopped giving to them a few years ago after their behavior during hurricanes
