He's become a germaphobe due to covid. He's almost gone full Howard Hughes.
It's probably more than that. How many people has Putin poisoned with various substances wiped on the skin, aerosols, etc. He's smart to keep his distance from everyone right now.

Wow, I'm a bit torn on this one. I see plenty of propaganda out there (supporting both sides) but I'm not sure that squelching it is the right move. I think the lies die in the light, so maybe best to keep allowing it to be countered with the truth?

I think a key consideration is that Google - and others - don't want to be seen as profiting from their ongoing business operations in a hostile nation. It's an interesting business ethics case, for sure.

This is good, but I think the main issue is that these shipments involve a lot of things that can't happen right now; ships to go there, insurance contracts (paid in rubles?), trade/commerce with banned banks etc.

Basically, I don't think the big companies have any real choice in the matter. The Russian elite will be pissed when they can't get warranty/regular service stuff done on their western auto's, due to parts being cut off, too.

Machinery and vehicles are their top 3 imports.
