Mornin' all. Unfortunately, I have an appointment this morning and will miss some of this morning's activities. But I went ahead and started this thread in the hopes other posters can watch and keep things on track.

Branca has posted a very lengthy and deep into the weeds analysis of the state's apparent goal of using provocation as a way to get around Kyle's self defense claim.

You can read that HERE. He calls it a Hail Mary pass for the prosecution and doesn't think the Judge will go for it because it is pretty convoluted and involves a lot of speculation that is currently not supported by the evidence.

Branca is pretty good about including snippets of proceedings that are note worthy in his daily wrap ups. So I'll be looking to those to see what I missed.

Wore a suit.

He has been convicted of a crime. He was interested in medical field because his grandmother was nurse and taught him how to use a stethoscope, etc. He was a lifeguard in HS, and then took EMT Basic training.

Prosecution (and media) will have puff pieces painting this guy as a good samaritan. Guessing this will be the prosecutions "star" witness of this trial.

Will be interesting to see how the defense approaches him.

Not much I would think. Prosecution is going to paint him as a sympathetic figure do-gooder that was trying to stop a violent kid to try to influence the emotions of the jury.

He's also a licensed EMT-Paramedic. Worked for private ambulance companies. Facility to facility transfers.
