I actually agree that secretary of transportation is a critical role that comes w certain sacrifices. The title of time off for "breastfeeding" made it sound like paternity leave in general is not masculine or something to be ridiculed.

Maybe when you're the Transportation Secretary, you have little experience for the job (other than expressing a love for travel and having proposed to your husband in an airport terminal), the President is mentally addled, and the country is in the worst shape with supply chains in generations, it's not exactly an ideal time to take two months off from your job. Just maybe that's the time when either step aside and let someone else do the job (take your pick as to which job you want) or you take a short stay at home and then get your ass back to work.

it makes a bit more sense for the mother to get a rhythm going (but not 13 weeks sense at the expense of taxpayers or other shareholders).

But for a male, two weeks. tops. Use PTO if you want more.
