Our institutions, including the military, have been thoroughly rotted out. This is just the metaphorical kicking of the wood which reveals it is hollowed out and full of termites. But we have a mainstream media that acts as a sort of anaesthetic on the mental pain caused by this realization for the masses.

If the public fallout was limited to that kid falling from a landing gear, I think two years was likely a long enough period that Americans would have forgotten. As things stand now with NATO allies understandably ducking the frick out after they were blindsided, and the largest American casualty event in nearly a decade with no clear path forward has effectively ended Biden's presidency from a policy standpoint.

He's toxic. Republicans would be wise to let him sit there twiddling his thumbs for the next three years - neutering the executive branch from initiating wild leftist legislation.

I couldn't care less about the beltway back and forth right now, I'm legitimately angry at the complete ineptitude on every single front. The decision making and actions have been shamefully preposterous.

I don't trust DoD amcit numbers - they ducked that info before which belongs to State. I trust those on the ground will gladly send anyone to meet their "maker". I dont trust Milley. I wish we could bring back LeMay for a week or two.

That speech by the CENTCOM commander was the most chicken **** CYA callous bureaucratic BS I have ever heard. The working with the Taliban isn't even worse part of that. It's that we're relying on them to protect us. Even if they were super friendly, why are we relying on them to protect our military? That is insane.
